¿Cómo SECAR el PELO a un PERRO? 💨🐶 (según el TIPO de PELO)

This is a YouTube video titled "¿Cómo SECAR el PELO a un PERRO? 💨🐶 (según el TIPO de PELO)" created in May 2021. The content features Joanna and Sam at a dog grooming location in Barcelona, demonstrating how to dry long-haired dogs, specifically a Maltese Bichon named Bimba. The video provides detailed instructions and tips on grooming and drying techniques for pet owners or groomers.
Hi, I'm Joanna. We're here at Enea Dog Grooming, Per Del Valle, Barcelona. This is Bimba. She's a Maltese Bichon. Her properties have allowed us to make this video. With the collaboration of B Formacion. We're going to teach you how to dry long haired dogs or Maltese Bichons. Okay, let's dry. Bimba, I'm going to use a hair dryer that you may have at home. I usually do it with another type of dryer, but I'm going to make it easier for you to do it better.
Okay.
For the instructions, I'm going to use a three phase dryer to moisturize and loosen the hair a little. And in this case I'm going to use a butter brush.
Okay.
To loosen the hair. Since we used a carder in the previous brushing, the carder is not necessary now. Now we're using the butter brush.
Okay.
The three phase dryer is also applied all over the body in layers. We go over it with the butter brush when we use when we are at the dog groomers. That is when we do it on ourselves. Here what we do in layers, just like we do when brushing the card and so on. Well, we do the same thing, brushing and so on, but with a hands free dryer. So it makes brushing easier. But now how we are going to do it with this dryer, it is different. It is different because we do not use both hands and we have to go a little faster so that the animal can dry well. But anyway, it will still come out well.
Okay.
Once we have brushed it, we do it like this. Then when it is damp, the hair is more or less damp. We stop the dryer again and brush it again. The temperature of the dryer always has to be warm so that it does not burn you. I mean, since you are also going to be touching it with your hand and so on, do not let it burn you directly. The cooler it is, the longer it takes to dry. Warm is normal for brushing, drying and everything. If you put it too hot, the hair will also open up more and get a little more damaged. Okay, now we've stopped for a bit because the hair is already wet and we're going to brush it again. Let's brush. Now we're going to open it up. Now it's more about opening up the hair so that it moves so that it opens up. The more you brush it, the faster it dries and the straighter it gets. This isn't necessary for short haired dogs. This is done directly with the same glove that you use in the bath. You dry it well, you clean it well, and you can use it while you're drying it. Well, once we've brushed it again, move the hair, we dry it again and do the same until the hair is a little more manageable. Sam. Okay, we're going to stop every now and then to take advantage and brush the areas that aren't dry a little. But it's already taking shape, it's already gaining volume.
Okay.
Okay, one side, one side is done. And to make sure that the drying and brushing went well, we can go over it with a comb. And that way we're going to reduce the weight of the hair down.
Okay.
In this part, the head will be a little bit, but we'll leave that for the end. And the other part is done exactly the same. The same.
Okay.
Now that it's dry, we'll brush it a little. It's also super important that when you wash and brush it, you stay calm. I mean, no matter how much the puppy moves, if you get upset, they work or live with a lot of energy. If you're nervous, the puppies are going to get nervous too. So it's very important that you calm down, enjoy washing and brushing your pet and that way both of you, because then you'll get along better. Well, once it's dry and brushed and so on, you can spray it with your favorite perfume for them. And that's it. And now it'll be ready for maintenance for when you take it to the groomer for them to give it a quick once over so it arrives at the groomer well groomed, without knots, and it's better for them. Well, we've finished drying the Maltese or long haired dogs and I just want to say, well, if you like animals and would like to learn about dog grooming, look for information on binformacioqn.com and you'll find everything there. If you have any questions, we're here at Pelaquaria Canina Impaired del Valleys. Thank you very much and see you next time.
