¿Cuántos DÍAS puede estar un GATO SOLO en CASA? 🐱🏠

Cats can be left alone for different lengths of time depending on their age, personality, and health. The video explains these factors and gives practical tips to keep your cat safe and comfortable when you're away from home.
As the guardian of one or more cats, it's normal to feel bad about leaving your cat home alone and to wonder how long a cat can be left alone at home. That's why in this expert animal video, we explain everything you need to know. Let's get started. How many days can a cat be left home alone? Although it is believed that cats are solitary and unfriendly animals, the reality is different. Cats are social animals. Based on the opinion of veterinarians, the truth is that cats can be left alone for a maximum of two days, that is 48 hours. Although, depending on the personality of the feline and its physical and mental state, we can leave cats alone for up to three days. We can never leave a cat alone for five, seven or a whole month without the presence of a person. What aspects should we take into account to determine whether the cat can be left alone for three days or not? We must take into account its routine and habits, its age, its physical and mental health, its level of training and its personality. All of these factors are important because if we leave a cat home alone, we should do so with all the care available to it. In other words, we should make sure that it has enough food and water, that its litter box is clean, and consider its habits so that it doesn't feel lonely. In addition, if your cat has a territorial personality and is used to going for walks outside it, it would be a good idea to make sure that it can access the outside through a cat flap. On the other hand, if you know that your cat needs a daily dose of petting, it will probably be more difficult to leave it alone. As you can see, a cat can be alone all day. We could even say that a cat can be alone for a weekend, since that is exactly 48 hours. Despite this, all cats need care every 12 hours. So it would be ideal to consult a family member or friend who visits our home daily to change the water and make sure that the cat is well. Some playtime would also be ideal so that it does not suffer from separation anxiety. Another aspect to take into account is the age of the cat. Let's see if you can leave them alone depending on the stage of their life, a one month old cat or a newborn. These cats cannot be left alone since we have not yet had time to socialize them with the objects around them. They also do not know how to eat alone because they are not weaned. Much less do they know how to use the litter box. In fact, all cats under 4 months old should not be left alone for more than two or three hours. As they grow, their personality will develop and they will know how to manage your going out and coming in from the house better. Discover how to care for a newborn cat in the video that we have included in the card. Young cats these are already used to perhaps one day of human absence and will not have any problems if we maintain all their conditions as if it were a normal day. We should never make them excessively dependent on us. It is part of proper education that this does not happen. We must accustom them to short absences starting from a few minutes to hours. Especially in young cats. We can consider leaving all kinds of toys at home, especially those that are interactive or that dispense food. Adult cats these are the ones that usually handle our absences best, especially if we have previously been on vacation here. Here it would also be advisable to use toys, although since they are not as active, perhaps receiving a visit every day or every two days will be enough for them. Elderly cats in the case of older cats, we may need more help. They may even need up to two visits a day. In these cases, we consider having a person visit our home so that they receive more frequent attention and for longer periods of time. Asking the visitor to offer them petting sessions can be an excellent way to keep them happy. Lets not forget that in these cases it may even be advisable to leave them in an animal kennel where they receive all the attention they need. Finally, as an animal expert, we would like to remind you that under no circumstances should we leave a cat alone for 15, seven or even five days. Remember that if you decide to have a small feline in your life, it is to offer them a life full of love and affection with the necessary care. Leaving them alone for seven or 15 days would put their physical and vital integrity at risk.
