If you have a dog of this breed, a crossbreed or similar, you can't miss this video. The French Bulldog has smooth, tight, shiny and soft hair without lint. For this reason, the most suitable combs for this breed are rubber and silicone. They can usually be found in the form of a glove or mitten. This type of comb will help us remove dead hair without damaging the skin. This breed tends to shed regularly, so it is advisable to carry out a brushing routine two or three times a week. A five minute session will be enough to have our best friend in perfect condition. The French Bulldog is a dog that tends to smell bad if we neglect its hygiene routine. It it is advisable to bathe it every one or two months, always using a specific shampoo for dogs and if possible, hypoallergenic for sensitive atopic or delicate skin. Remember that this is a breed that is somewhat prone to suffering from atopic dermatitis. In addition to bathing, it is very important to also carry out a facial hygiene routine using gauze and chlorhexidine, for example, to remove dirt and drool that may be present between the wrinkles. Another important aspect to take into account is oral hygiene, which is essential to prevent the accumulation of tartar and dental problems in dogs such as gingivitis and periodontitis. If the dog is a puppy or an easy to handle adult, we can even use dog toothpaste and a brush. However, if there are problems using the brush, you can start with your fingers until the dog gets used to this routine. The ears also require some attention, although not as much as the teeth.
