El Chimpancé

4 Sept 2013

Watch on YouTube

This is a YouTube video titled "El Chimpancé" containing a monologue or narrated content about chimpanzees, describing their behavior, habitat, diet, and conservation status. The speaker is identified as Javier Pariente, but the content is a single-speaker informative piece rather than a conversation.

The chimpanzee, a typical inhabitant of the jungles of equatorial Africa, is the species closest to humans. It is capable of using tools by collecting and adapting small sticks to obtain termites, and can also use stones to break hard seeds. Like the gorilla and the orangutan. Every night it builds a nest in the trees with branches and leaves to sleep. It eats fruits, bark, seeds, leaves, insects and small mammals. Habitat loss and poaching are responsible for the threatened situation in which the chimpanzee finds itself today.
