El perro Terrier escocés

This is a YouTube video titled "El perro Terrier escocés" created on October 1, 2015, providing a detailed monologue about the Scottish Terrier dog breed. The content describes the breed's origin, characteristics, behavior, grooming needs, health issues, and physical traits. It is an informative presentation likely aimed at dog enthusiasts or potential owners.
Foreign. The Scottish Terrier, as its name suggests, is of Scottish origin. It is believed that this breed arose from the cross between the Aber Terrier and other burrowing dogs, which is why it was initially called the Aberdeen Terrier. It is one of the five terrier breeds. Over time it has become the preferred terrier in the United States and England. It is both a companion and hunting dog. It is an independent, intelligent, cheerful, proud, stubborn, sensitive dog with a very strong personality. It is sometimes said to be an aloof dog, but if listened to, it is very affectionate with its owner. On the other hand, it is distrustful with strangers. It gets along well with children and likes to play with them. It is a barking dog, but only when necessary. For this reason it is a good guard dog. In general, it gets along well with other dogs. As for its hair, it has to be brushed approximately once a week and cut at most twice a year. Furthermore, this breed is prone to cancer as well as skin diseases and allergies. This breed can live in an apartment or in a house, if the house has a garden. We must warn you that this dog is prone to making holes, or rather digging. It is important that it gets exercise every day as it is a very active dog. It also loves to play and this activity can be done indoors. As we have already mentioned, they are independent dogs and as such can be left alone, but not for long periods of time. From a young age they need to be socialized so that they behave well and can live with people and other animals. In principle, there should be no problem with training as they are very intelligent dogs. The hair is double layered. The undercoat is soft and short and dense. The outer coat is dense and thick. It can be black or brindle. The head is elongated. The eyes are small, almond shaped and dark. The nose is long. The ears are pointed and straight. The legs are large and the tail is thick at the base and tapers. The male Scotty terrier measures between 25 and 28 centimeters and weighs between 8 and 11 kilograms. The female has the same measurements but weighs between 7 and 10 kilogram. The life expectancy is 12 years. I hope you enjoyed this video and if you want to see other breeds, do not hesitate to click on the links at the end. Thank you very much and see you in the next video.
