El perro Yorkshire Terrier

A guide to Yorkshire Terriers covering their origin, temperament, physical traits, grooming requirements, and common health problems. Learn what makes this small breed distinctive and how to care for one properly.
The George Terrier, also known as the Yorkie, is a very small dog that is perfect for entering flats and homes with elderly people. It is a balanced, intelligent, loyal and very playful dog, but it often barks and nibbles on things it finds and therefore it is not entirely advisable to have it with very young children at home. It is a long haired dog and for this reason it is very important to brush and wash it from time to time to keep it clean. Although it is a small dog, it needs plenty of exercise and to play with its owner since, as we have said before, it will use this energy to bark and bite the furniture. The Yorkshire comes from the county of Yorkshire in England, hence its name. This breed is obtained from crossing several dogs to create a small, elegant and luxurious dog. It is currently the most popular companion dog in the world since it can be kept in any home without space problems. This dog has some health problems. Like most small breeds, they may have patellar luxations, spinal problems or congenital hydrocephalus. They may also have some stomach problems such as diarrhea.
