Watch on YouTube

This is a YouTube video titled "La Cabra Montés Ibérica" containing a monologue or narration from September 4, 2013, describing the Iberian ibex, its physical characteristics, habitat, diet, and the extinction of the Pyrenean subspecies. The content is educational and focused on wildlife information.

The Iberian ibex is one of the most typical inhabitants of the mountainous areas of the entire country. Its characteristic features are its large, curved horns, which in the case of males, can measure more than 90cm in length. It is an exclusively Iberian species that was formerly divided into four different subspecies, one of which is that of the Pyrenees. It became extinct in 2000 when the last specimen died in the Ordes Monte Perdido National Park. They are herbivorous animals, eating plants and the vegetation in their surroundings.
