LA "MILAGROSA" VACUNA QUE ALARGA LA VIDA DE TU GATO y CURA LA ENFERMEDAD RENAL 💉🐱¿Qué hay de verdad?

Veterinarian Carlos explains a vaccine in development that could extend cats' lives by preventing kidney disease. The vaccine is still in early testing stages and not yet available to the public. The video separates hype from what science actually shows so far.
Foreign hi, I'm Carlos and I'm a veterinarian. Welcome to the Happy Pets and Families Channel. I don't know if you know that they're developing a vaccine that promises to allow our cats to live up to 30 years. Some of you may be familiar with this news because you've shared links with me on social media so I can talk about this topic. Well, since I owe it to my audience, I'm here to tell you what's true in all this. To start, what is this vaccine? It's based on research conducted by a professor at the University of Tokyo, Torayazaki. According to his research, cats that receive this treatment can improve their health. And one of the main problems that usually affects our feline companions is kidney problems with which can occur in up to 8 out of 10 cats. I've already talked about this here on the Happy Pets and Families YouTube channel and I'll leave you a very interesting video below. Well, this vaccine supposedly prevents these types of problems, so our cats life expectancy would increase. But first let me tell you how this vaccine works and why they say it will increase the lifespan of our cats. There is a molecule in the body of cats, but also in ours, dogs or mice, called macrophage apoptosis inhibitor. The thing is that this substance is transported through the blood and is bound to antibodies. AIM works as a marker, like putting a flag on cells that no longer function properly or cells that have simply died. But in order for it to work, it has to separate from the antibodies it is bound to and go to the cells to mark them. Once AIM has marked the cells that are no longer useful, the ones that are dead, the macrophages that belong to the body's defenses recognize this marker. They recognize AIM and go and eat those dead cells to get them out of the way and so that they do not get in the way. Ok, this happens normally in most animals. What happens? Our cats, as always, are a little special. The problem that any cat has, whether they are healthy or already suffering from kidney disease, is that AIM does not separate from antibodies, so it is not able to reach cells that have already died and mark them. Since these cells are no longer marked, macrophages do not recognize them, do not eat them, and they remain there accumulating and accumulating, which leads to a health problem. This is especially important in the kidneys because as you know, the kidneys are responsible for removing waste substances from our blood so that our body does not become poisoned. What happens since these dead cells are not removed, they gradually accumulate in this filter, that is the kidney, and eventually the kidney stops filtering and stops working. Therefore, this is an innate problem that our cats have because their body works that way. It has nothing to do with whether you give them dry food or another type of food, which many people think is the case. Obviously, everything we do to improve the health of our cats kidneys will end up helping them because there's already a condition in their body that causes a high percentage of the kidneys to stop working properly. Well, given this situation, which has already been confirmed in cats, what has the research of this professor from the University of Tokyo, Professor Miyake from, focused on? What he proposes is that since AIM is not free in our cats bodies, but is attached to antibodies, we have to give them a drug that causes this substance, this molecule, to be released or to be free, so that it marks the cells that are dead and do not work, and their macrophages do the rest eat them. So surely you, if you have come across any of these articles, have read about the vaccine that extends the life of cats, helps their kidneys work better. Well, here is a little explanation so that you know how all this is related, because in many cases it is precisely kidney problems that cause our cats to live less time. Because this disease begins to develop when the cat is already six or seven years old and shortens their life expectancy. If we prevent it from developing, their life expectancy will be longer. Well, but now let's get to what matters. I have already told you a little about how it works, even though it is a little technical. Forgive me, but let's ask ourselves if this is really going to be the panacea, if it is going to help all our cats. It is still too early to know if our cats are going to live twice as long. What all the articles you have sent me say is that cats could live 30 years with this medication. Okay, let's calm down, because as I told you, AIM works perfectly, for example, in dogs or also in people. But that it works in dogs does not mean that they will live to be 30 years old. So we may be rushing to say, well, if we give this to cats and make it work properly, they'll live to be 30 years old. There are many other diseases that can develop that are not related to this lack of AIM in cats and that can ultimately shorten their life expectancy. On the other hand, all of this is at a very early stage. The vaccine has not yet been marketed, it is still being tested, and we do not know what the real effect is. That it will have on most cats. Another thing is that even if the vaccine is marketed, we do not know how effective it will be. We do not know if we need to give them one every year or if we need to give them one every six months for it to have a real effect on their life expectancy. On the other hand, although Professor Miyake has already said that he hopes that this vaccine will be available at an affordable price, this will then depend on the pharmaceutical companies that market it. And we do not know if it will end up being accessible to most people. More things that are still unknown. There are some companies that have begun to use Professor Miyake's research to market specific cat food that in theory provides them with all these advantages. Well, from what I've been investigating, that's all marketing at the moment because there are no companies that have published serious studies that tell us that their food has this effect on our cats kidneys. Simply put, since this topic is currently trending, you're going to hear about it in many places. And as I always say, please don't get carried away by all this sensationalist news. First you have to think, and one last thing that we can't ignore. Even if the drug worked, even if the vaccine only had to be given once in our cats lives, we don't know if cats could end up developing resistance to the medication. What does that mean? Well, since we're administering something that they normally have in their bodies, it could be that some cats start to develop, for example, defenses against the molecule that we're administering to them and that make it completely useless. To give you an idea what is happening with antibiotics today, well, they used to work very well, but little by little, as the bacteria were attacked by the antibiotic, they said, wait, I'm learning to see how I can get rid of this. And resistance develops over time. That antibiotic that worked 10 or 15 years ago is no longer useful for many bacteria. And that's why when we give it to them, they don't die. That's why I always tell you that antibiotics and medications in general should be given according to the prescription given to you by your vet. This has little to do with the topic, but I want to leave it here. That's why I want to make it clear to you that we are still in a very early stage. It has been tested on very few cats, and although the results are encouraging, we still need time to know what the long term results will be. As you can see, our cat's medicine has been giving Us quite a bit of joy lately. In fact, when we started this year, I told you that there were some drugs, such as the cure for fip, that could end up helping many cats in the very near future. And look, today I'm also giving you good news, because this is a scientific breakthrough. It's very possible that this does work. What happens is that I wanted to do it. I'm going to share this video so that we don't get carried away and that we take it with a grain of salt. In any case, I hope that this information helps you to know that, well, the lives of our cats can improve considerably with the scientific advances that are being made. And that, without a doubt, is always good news. And what did you think of all this information? Don't tell me that it didn't make you happy. Well, in any case, leave me your reaction in the comments. And if you liked the video, give it a like, if you haven't already subscribe to the channel, because that way you'll find out when we have new videos. Above all, you'll find out if you click the bell icon. In addition, here on YouTube we have a secondary channel called Questions and Answers from a Veterinarian. Come and take a look, because we also have a lot of interesting topics. And don't leave yet, because first we have to meet this beautiful little thing called mustard. Well, actually honey and Mustard. And that tells us from Colombia, with her human companion, Felipe. You know, I love cat names that have to do with food. And here you see her resting like a queen. Her name is Manchez and she lives in Mexico City with Posse Campos. And we say goodbye to Lena Rodriguez's feline companions who are watching us from Germany. The black one is called Mambo, and the black and white one is called Minnie. Thank you very much for following the Pets and Happy Families Channel. And we'll see you in the next video. The professor at the University of Tokyo, Torayazaki, like the one from Totoro. What a coincidence. Yes, it's there. And you below, so as not to overwhelm people, because it's an inhibitor of macrophage apoptosis. Write it to me. Okay, so that. Okay, wait, wait. Okay, so that's what it is. Now, the brands were dry food. Yes, Japanese dry food. But she didn't want to say it, and I'm not going to link it or anything. Okay, now I'm going to tell you what's wrong with cats, because. No, because all this is important. What about this novelty? Uh, what is true? No, because it will seem like I'm saying it's a lie. And in it has to be separated from the antibodies and it goes directly to the antibody. It acts there, marking it and for it to work.
Okay, but I'm not understanding anything. But it doesn't matter. I suppose it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. I'm not understanding it. But it's just that.
No, no.
These are very complicated concepts.
That's why it was a bit technical. But it has to be explained. But if not. Okay, now you've understood why it's important. Okay, it's a bit complex, but it has to be explained. In the end, we all end up liking this. Why not?
