LAMPO, el PERRO que VIAJABA SOLO en TREN 🐶🚂

Lampo was a dog in 1950s Tuscany who rode trains alone, becoming famous for his solo travels. An animal expert tells how this intelligent dog navigated the rails and what eventually happened to him.
In the 1950s, there was a dog named Lampo who was known to all the workers and travelers at the Campilia Maritima railway station in Tuscany. Lampo would travel from train to train, changing trains, and he knew exactly where he was going. Do you want to know his incredible story? We tell you about it in this video by an animal expert. THE ENCOUNTER between LAMPO and Elvio one day in August 1953, a man named Elvio Barlatani, who worked at the Campilia station, saw a dog jump from a freight train. At first he was surprised, but then he decided to continue with his work. A few minutes later, that same dog appeared in front of Elvio, wagging its tail and showing affection. The man let him stay in his office, where the dog slept all afternoon. From that day on, this dog became Elvio's shadow and became friends with all the workers and travelers at the station. They decided to call him Lampo, which means lightning, because of the unexpected way in which he had entered their lives. Lampo's DAYS Every day when Elvio took the train back home, Lampo tried to get on with him to accompany him. Elvio always tried to avoid him and made him get off for fear that the train inspector would see him. But one day the train left for Pmvino, and without realizing it, Elvio had amp lying on his feet. The man hid the dog under the seat and behind his legs to keep him hidden during the train guard duty. That day was when Elvio's wife and daughter were finally able to meet the famous dog he talked about so much. He had dinner with them, and when they were done, Lampa went to the Pmvino station to catch the train back to Campinia, the train station he considered home. From that moment on, Lampo got into the habit of accompanying Elvio home every day. He always spent some time with the family and later returned to the station to catch the train back. By that time, Lampo had already learned the train schedules connecting Campineo with Pmvino. Lampo became so fond of the family that he even accompanied little Mina to school every day. The dog would board the train at 7:20 in Campilia and arrive at Elvio and his family's house at 8 to accompany the girl to school. Lampo's intelligence Lampo lived a life full of adventures at Campilia station and on the trains that departed and arrived. He already knew the cooks on some of the trains and the times he could find them. For example, when he arrived on the express train from Romaturi, Lampo would approach the window of the dining car and bark for a few seconds. The cook would lean out of the window and throw him pieces of meat and bones. Lampo traveled on trains with new directions, but thanks to his cunning and intelligence, he always managed to return to Campiglia station. It seemed that he was born to travel by train. Sometimes they would even call Elvio to tell him that his dog was in another city, such as Civita Bequia or even Rome. They asked him if he wanted to be sent back on a train, but Elvio always told them it wasn't necessary. He knew that Lampo was smart enough to come back whenever he wanted. The TRAGIC END Unfortunately, Lampo died after being hit by a train on July 22, 1961. All the station staff, the travelers, Elvio and his family were devastated by this terrible event. In honor of this wonderful furry friend, a life size statue of him was built at the Campilia Maritima station. Tell us what you thought of this story up here. We'll also leave you the story of Hachiko, the faithful dog. Until next time, experts.
