¿Los PERROS pueden SOÑAR? 🐶💤 ¡Descúbrelo!

Dogs do dream, and scientists know this from their brain waves and sleep cycles. When your dog twitches, paddles, or makes sounds while sleeping, they're likely reliving experiences from their day.
You've probably noticed your dog moving, making sounds, and even having spasms while they sleep. Have you ever wondered what they're dreaming about? Can dogs dream? In this video from Animal Expert, we'll reveal what we currently know about sleep in dogs. Don't miss it. Several studies have shown that a dog's sleep phases aren't that different from those we humans have. Specifically, by studying brain waves, it was discovered that when a dog sleeps, it repeats a sleep cycle in which it goes through two well defined phases. The first is slow wave sleep, which is a light sleep phase in which the dog relaxes. During this stage, the dog's heart beats more slowly, its breathing becomes slow and irregular, and its muscle tone decreases. During this phase, our furry friend can wake up if it perceives an external stimulus. When dogs rest during the day, it is very common for them to remain in this phase of sleep. This is because they instinctively need to stay alert to external stimuli that could pose a threat. The other phase is deep sleep, or rem, in which the animal is in a state of total relaxation, unmoved by external stimuli. In this stage, the brain disconnects its perception of external elements. And this is when both dogs and people dream. We cannot know for sure what dogs dream about because, for obvious reasons, they cannot explain it to us. But we can deduce that they are dreaming by comparing what we know about why humans dream and how dogs behave when they sleep. While we dream, all the experiences and learnings made during the day are organized and accommodated mentally. The explanation that science currently gives for dreaming is that while this entire cognitive process is taking place, our mind manifests the phenomenon of dreaming. For this reason, we have reason to believe that when dogs dream, they do so about situations that they have experienced in their day or their usual routines. It is possible that you have heard a dog cry while sleeping. This may be due to some experience that has made it cry and it is remembering it. It is completely natural for your dog to move while asleep. During the REM phase of sleep, although the brain limits the body's mobility for safety reasons, there is no complete disconnection. For this reason, some of the states in which the dog finds itself while dreaming can be physically displayed. For example, your furry friend may move their legs and tail while sleeping, make a variety of sounds, change their breathing, and even something that may worry you have spasms. If your dog is dreaming about chasing a ball, they may move their legs as if they were running while asleep, wag their tail happily, or bark occasionally. Therefore, if your furry friend has spasms while sleeping. You should not worry as it does not imply that they are suffering from any illness or pain. They are simply dreaming. You should only worry and take them to the vet if they have these spasms when they are awake. If you want to continue learning about what dogs dream about, we have a video above about nightmares in dogs. Tell us what movements and sounds your dog makes while sleeping. Until next time experts. Glory to God.
