Los primeros cuidados de tu cachorro

Veterinary advice on protecting your new puppy from disease. The video covers vaccination schedules, disease prevention, and essential early care practices to keep young dogs healthy during their first months.
If you have a new pet and it's a puppy, be very careful when taking it out into the street and to parks like the ones we're talking about here. Especially if it hasn't had its vaccinations yet. Most owners are eager to take their new puppy for a walk. This small detail can make the difference between your little one getting a disease or not. A puppy's immune system is still developing. If we don't give it the tools to fight off diseases such as vaccines, it's normal to leave it exposed to diseases that can be very dangerous and even fatal for it. Diseases such as paravirosis and distemper are transmitted relatively frequently and quite easily among puppies. Any veterinarian in their daily practice can see that there are a large number of young animals that have not been vaccinated and that have gone out into parks and gardens prematurely and have contracted these diseases. These diseases pose a serious risk to your pet's health because in addition to causing signs such as diarrhea, vomiting blood in the stool or a state of weakness, they can also cause a decrease in the cells immune system which can end up allowing other types of diseases, bacteria and pathogens to invade them and have serious consequences. As a way to prevent puppy diseases, we usually advise owners to avoid contact between their new pets and animals they do not know, that is animals whose vaccinations they do not know, or whether they are vaccinated. This does not mean that the puppy cannot go outside. The puppy can go outside as long as it does not come into contact with the ground or with areas where another pet has been. Families can take their puppies out in their arms or take them to open spaces such as terraces or private gardens where there is no risk of infection. These diseases are usually transmitted through the nose or mouth. That is to say, there does not need to be direct contact between pets. Your puppy only needs to smell or even lick areas where other animals have peed or defecated to become infected. In this case, prevention is essential because the animal is in a very weak state due to the fact that it is still very young and also its energy reserves are much lower than those of an adult animal. Prevention is therefore important because treatment is not always successful and is a long and quite expensive treatment. Treatment usually requires hospitalization of your pet and usually lasts approximately five to seven days. During the time of hospitalization, even if all its care is provided, there may come a point where your pet stops eating and even diarrhea causes it to lose a quantity of nutrients and this can even lead to the death of your pet in many cases during hospitalization, the care received from the veterinarian is enough to prevent your pet from having these problems. As I have mentioned, prevention and a few small tips are enough to prevent your pet from contracting these diseases. The first is to take your young pet to the vet as soon as possible so that the vet can perform a proper physical examination and determine the condition of the pet. The second is to follow the correct deworming schedule prescribed by your vet to prevent intestinal parasites that may come from the mother and compromise the pet's immune system. The third is to always follow the vaccination schedule prescribed by your vet. These vaccination schedules will give your pet the tools to fight off infections from viruses and bacteria. Finally, it is always important to maintain a proper diet and ensure that your pet is always in optimal condition. I hope you have found this information interesting and that you share it on your social networks so that you can help all your friends learn how to prevent their puppies from contracting these diseases, since prevention is more important and always more beneficial for their health and treating the diseases that may occur. Thank you very much for following happy pets and families and I will see you in the next one.
