The Dalmatian is a dog that we all know for its characteristic black spots all over its body on a white coat. In the past it was a dog that was bred as a symbol of noble status, but it had also been used as a shepherd dog, guard dog and in matters related to wars. The Dalmatian has a very active, sensitive flow, friendly temperament and character and is always eager to play. This breed of dog is very friendly and very rarely has problems with children. It is not usually fearful or aggressive and is not very shy. The main physical characteristics of the Dalmatian are that it is one of the most elegant and showy dogs that exist today and there are very few dogs that cross a coat like its own, with beautiful black spots that are all over its white body. It is a very active, strong and muscular breed. Strong and long limbs with cat feet. The skull is flat and without wrinkles, large and drooping ears that are placed high on the head. The head is long and its snout is also elongated and very strong. The nose is always black in the black speckled Dalmatians, while in the brown speckled dogs it is always brown. A curious fact about all Dalmatians is that they are always born without spots. Newborn puppies are completely white, but from about the third week onwards the characteristic spots begin to appear. Main characteristics of the Dalmatian they are originally from Croatia. They are a perfect companion dog, a good guardian and a good defense. They usually live to be approximately 13 years old. The height of the male from the withers to the ground is approximately 56 to 61 cm and in females between 54 and 59 cm. The weight of males ranges between 26 and 32 kg and in females between 24 and 29. The hair is short, smooth, dense and always, almost always clean. The feet are round and with non arched toes as we have said, while like cat's feet, the pads are round, hard and elastic.
