Foreign.
Did you have a good time? Well, you see me looking like this and it's possible that when you get home after walking your canine companion, you'll look the same. But right now, what the hell do we do to get all this stuff off and not run any risks? Well, let's get to it. Hello. Well, even though you see me with a tattoo on my arms, I'm not Paris Hilton or anything, you'll have already seen it. I'm Carlos, a clinical veterinarian in small animals. Welcome to the Happy Pets and Families channel. One thing, and before anything else, let's make it clear that with this video, I'm not encouraging you to leave your house, only go out for things that are absolutely essential. And obviously walking your canine companion is something vital for him. The video has a somewhat light hearted tone and the thing is that these days we really need to be able to laugh a little. But you should know that this is very serious and above all that I'm staying home and so should you. The first thing we need to do is remember that we always have to go from the dirtiest to the cleanest. And what is the dirtiest thing right now? Well, in theory, logically, your dog is never going to be dirty dirty. But hey, it will be the dog's paws. So let's clean its paws. To do this, you, you can use special pet wipes that have a specific ph for this. If not, soapy water will suffice.
Baby butt wipes work, right?
Because they don't have the same ph as pet wipes. So that's why it's always recommended to use products specifically for animals. And if not soapy water, you'll have to give it a good wipe so that all its paws are really clean before letting it go out and walking around your house. And with another wipe, if you want, you can also clean its snout. Let's throw away the wipe. We're going to leave everything close to us for now, okay? Because later on we'll have to clean the area where we've been. We throw the towel away near us and remove the leash. In these cases it's always better to have a leash with a harness. The thing is, as always, we've improvised it for Tatu since he doesn't mind. And now we can let Tatu go home and do whatever he wants.
Come on, Tatu.
And now we have this. What do we do with the leash? Well, the best thing to do in these cases is to leave it there. It's better to have a rag, a cloth A bucket or something like that, ready with soapy water before you leave home. If your leash isn't made of this material, but is made of leather, you can also put a little bleach or some type of disinfectant on it. If it's made of this material and you put bleach on it, you'll obviously ruin it. So with this, with soapy water, you can use a rag. All this without having to take off your gloves. Okay, this is the first pass, and on the second pass, what you're going to do is grab the strap with just a few fingers, using the back part without touching the front part to keep it really clean. Leave it there and that's it. We'll put this next to the towel we used to clean Tattu. Okay, now we have to get all this stuff off here. You also have to apply what I'm telling you now, always from the dirtiest to the cleanest. And in principle, the dirtiest part of us will be our hands because we've been touching things on the street. So for this, you always have to take off your gloves. The same way you shouldn't touch your skin with the outside of the gloves. You have to take this one off from the outside without touching your hand. And once you have it here, if you want to avoid any problems, you can make a little ball and put your hand underneath it so you don't touch the outside. And we leave this where we are leaving everything else on the floor next to the washcloth and the mop. And even so, our hands are clean right now, but they still need to be a little cleaner because we have to wash them. But before that, you can take off the mask. You can't touch the outside of it because the outside of the mask is contaminated. So you'll have to take off the rubber band, and with this other rubber band like this. And this way you haven't touched the outside at all. And now we have to wash our hands. What can we use for this? Well, regular soap, or if you have antiseptic soap at home. Antiseptic soap is better the first time you wash them when you get home. I have antiseptic soap at home, so the first thing I do is always wash them with that soap. So we go to the bathroom, but without touching anything in the house. If you find any type of light switch or anything, always with your elbow, you have to clean all your fingers thoroughly before turning on the tap for at least 20 seconds. And now we have to continue with the rest of the protocol. That I have been following with Jose since we got home. I am a bit of a pain in the neck, but it is very important because that way we are going to help keep everything clean inside the house. The first thing to do is if you have taken your mobile phone outside, if you are only going to walk the dog, you may not need to take your mobile phone with you. I would recommend that you do not take it out of the house. But if you have taken your mobile phone outside, you will also have to clean and disinfect it properly. And now I will show you how. I already know how and how to do it. Now lets go. To avoid forgetting when we get home, I have prepared something inconspicuous like this so that I always have it as a reminder. In it I have the spray, the spray with alcohol and water that I have ready. I also usually have a small piece of paper or a cloth to clean only the mobile phone without touching the outside of the phone. Since we got home, we just took it out of our pocket and put it on the table. We also remove the case. But first I'm going to clean the screen a little and then clean the outside. Okay, now the phone is clean. We also remove the case and give it a good wipe. We avoid leaving any traces. This is not product placement. No.
Now our phone is clean and ready to use inside the house. We also have to throw this away and pick up everything we left around the house while we were removing our protection. We'll throw all that away now and after all that we wash our hands. We'll put the spray back here so we don't forget it. Tomorrow we just have to do one thing which is disinfect the inside of the door. And the keys. Yes, that's also done for things that are less delicate, like the door, the keys, the handle. What I've done is a solution of water and bleach. Bleach is enough to remove any traces. And we clean. We clean the door handle which is what we touched when we came in from the street top right. Ah, it's leaving you with the most important area which is the one we touched with our hands from the street. I recommend that you always open and close the door with your feet to avoid touching it as much as possible. But hey, if you've touched something, that's how you clean it. And now the only thing left to do is take everything we've left here on the floor to the trash can and you'll ask me what about the rags we've used. Let's See, all the disinfectant and soap we're using is enough, but it's good to wash these rags too. You don't need to throw them away. Prepare a bucket with water, hot water, and if you want a little bleach, and leave them there for a while. Since we've touched everything we left on the floor before the washcloth and so on, we have to wash our hands first. In this case, we don't need antiseptic soap if you don't want to, just regular soap. And once our hands are clean, we can touch the strap. Well. And here, like magic, a new soap dish has appeared. We put some soap on and wash our hands again for at least 20 seconds. By the way, 20 seconds is singing Happy Birthday twice. And that's it. Well, I made the video because people have asked me in recent days how they managed to carry out all this infrastructure, all this cleaning. And it's true that we have to be a little more aware. And I think that as we move forward, we're all going to change our mindset a little when it comes to hygiene. We're all going to become a little more obsessive. Other YouTubers show you their morning routine, and I'll show you my arrival home routine. I hope you found it useful and that in this simple way you can keep all your family members protected. And that's it for today's video. If you liked it, give it a like and share it with everyone. Remember to subscribe to our channel if you haven't already. I mentioned it again at the end of the video today and to our secondary channel, which we also have here on YouTube, which is called Questions and Answers from a Veterinarian. And hit the bell so that YouTube will notify you every time we upload new content. Thank you very much for following the Happy Pets and Families channel and I'll see you in the next video. Well, now that we're at home, I'm going to get comfortable here with you and get in touch. Well, you already know what's coming here in this section of the channel, which is to get to know your pets, which you've introduced to us on the Facebook group. Mariana introduces us to her latest rescued kitten, who was originally named Felix, but who turns out to be Felicia. She sends us a hug and thanks us. Thank you very much for introducing us to Felix, Felicia Victor, Victoria, it seems like that. And Marie Carmen Garcia said she was waiting for the right moment to introduce us to Fiona, who she says is a care kitten who is almost 10 months old and is very young and has a big appetite. Look how pretty she is. And Liddy Di Mario introduces us to Charlie, who she says was picked up from the street about two and a half months ago and is about six months old. He loves to play, and what you have to do is give him lots of play so he burns off some energy and lets you sleep at night. Well, it seems like the puppy thing is going well. And if you want us to introduce your animal companions, what you have to do is introduce them in the Facebook group. We'll go there and select the photos, but little by little, because we can only put three at the end of each video. So I ask for a little patience. See you next week. Probably still from home. We have very sophisticated methods.
We've improved on the Totoro leash.
Oh, if this leash is from McDonald's. Okay, that's good. Yes. Oh, you can see your keys, right? Oh, of course. And if you grab the dog and jump with it and then let it go, you'll see the floor. I think it's a bit dirty. Very good. Let's do it again here. This is going to be like the set. Okay, so then it's like you enter through there. Okay, Quenka, but you can see everything here. Wait a minute. So I can see. Come closer to the light. Come on. Oh, it only took us half an hour. Are you glad you didn't say, hello, I'm Carlos or anything? Oh, that's right, I didn't say it. Well, I'll say it here now. This isn't going to be just music. Not just music. The new trend in Berlin is maybe my foot is showing. Well, you're the bad cameraman. I can't see it. Don't tell me that. It's true. Nobody asks us about him. Everybody takes the bowl. Nobody takes the bowl again until next week. Otherwise Jose won't be calm. Damp bathroom ceiling. That's it. Don't take it out, okay? Ah.
