Hello, my name is Chavy Vasquez. I am a dog trainer at Lu Doc and in this video I will show you some recommendations for choosing a good toy for your dog. One of the things to keep in mind is the age and size of your dog when choosing a toy. For example, we can find different sizes for the same toy. This one would be for a small breed dog and this one would be ideal for a larger breed. Because if we choose a toy with the wrong proportions, the dog may destroy it quickly or not be able to play with it. We should always avoid vinyl toys like this crocodile because they are easily destroyed and most of the time they have a whistle which excites dogs and owners a lot when interacting with them. If the dog ingests this product, it could cause digestive problems. Natural rubber is much more recommended as it is more durable and does not cause digestive problems if the dog ingests it. These natural rubber products usually come with a protective coating from the factory, so it is advisable to wash them before giving them to the dog. Made of natural rubber, we also have this type of toy that is very durable and in future videos we will see its usefulness. Here we can see a natural cotton knot with natural dyes. These products must also be selected for their quality to prevent the dog from having digestive problems if it eats them. How can we identify that our toy is made of natural rubber? By the smell it gives off. Because natural rubber products have a mild smell different from vinyl products which smell like plastic or car tires. These have a mild vanilla smell. Okay.
