What's going on, everyone? Casey Adams here. Welcome to the Rise of the Young podcast. Today on episode 15, I'm going to be talking about why building strong relationships are so important and how you can do that. Because I get a lot of people asking me how I've been able to build relationships, how I've been able to build strong relationships with high quality people. So that being said, number one, the simplistic thing about people is people bring opportunities. And what I mean by that is everyone that you meet when it comes to business, they're gonna have other business ventures, they're gonna have other opportunities that they have that if you fit place, if you bring the right value, that's when opportunities come from people. So that being said, let's go ahead, jump right into the episode. So the number one thing when it comes to building strong relationships and why they're so important is because relationships at the end of the day are the most important thing on this planet. What I mean by that is that relationships turn into quality memories and that people are more important than profit. Because I get all the time. Would you rather have $100 million and be completely no friends, nothing? Or would you rather have a high quality network of people and only make a million dollars a year? Right? And so I want you guys let me know what would you do on that question. Would you rather make 100 million and have no friends and have no social life? Or would you rather have a million dollars a year and have the highest quality people around you building high quality memories? Because for me I would be around high quality people because that's how you can turn that 1 million to 100 million and still have a quality friend group. So that being said, no amount of money can be used and you cannot buy a relationship. And this is why it's so important that whenever you're meeting someone that you're actually putting in the time and effort to build a relationship. Because no amount of money can also fix a relationship. If you burn someone's trust, if you break someone's, if you stab them in the back and you're just doing something not genuinely okay with, then you're gonna break a relationship. And that's something that's very, very hard to get back. So what I mean by what I'm saying with building quality relationships and why there so important is because at the end of the day, that's what it comes down to, whether it be with your family, if you betrayed your family, you robbed your own house and dip and never see them again, you're never going to be able to build that relationship back how it used to be. And the same goes with other people you meet at networking events, other people you meet on social media. If you actually take the time to build quality relationships, you will have quality coming back to you. Because at the end of the day you want to have good relationships with good people. The thing about building good relationships, this is just something that I do frequently, is that go out of your way to build these relationships. Text someone to remind them that you're wishing them a Merry Christmas. Follow up with someone after you call them over, text to say that you agreed with what they said and you appreciate their time. Do something good for someone in your network, just randomly, whether it be take them out to eat, whether that be send them a gift card, whatever it may be, send them a written letter, whatever you're doing. If you, if you want to build and nurture relationships, you must focus on what you're actually doing inside of them. And I really want you to think about this. Whether it be your brothers, your sisters, your parents, your people that you text all the time, are they just acquaintances? Or do you actually have deep connections with these people? And you would literally do a lot for the people that are in your network. Because if you're not focusing on building high quality relationships, you gotta keep your circle small. You gotta keep it with the people that you know you can trust, you know that have your back. Because once you're able to do that, that's when longevity, that's when new opportunities come. So I would very much focus on building these high quality relationships very early because I do know I have a lot of young listeners, but also for the people that are listening to this, that they may be older, they're not in the prime of their career, or they are. If you're building high quality relationships at any age, you're going to be impacted very, very well at the end of the day. So when it comes to meeting people, because I have the opportunity to meet a lot of people at different speaking events, at different engagements that I speak at, whatever it may be. The thing about building relationships is you have to ask real questions and be interested in what other people are doing. And what I mean by that is people understand when you're just faking a relationship, but if you can actually take the time to listen to someone, to actually ask them questions about where they come from, about what they're doing, about why they do what they do, about how you can help them, and not just saying, how can I help you? Because I want to be nice, but to actually want to help somebody, way different than just trying to feel good about yourself, you have to make sure that you're putting 51% of effort into other people. You're putting the majority of what you do into building relationships with people. So that being said, think about things as a long term. If you're thinking about relationships as something that will only be there for the next year or so, you got it twisted. Step by step, you'll get ahead in relationships, but not necessarily in fast spurts. That's a quote that my man Tai Lopez always says. And this goes for anything life, whether it be building a brand, whether it be building relationships, you have to look at it at the long terms, look at it by a step by step. You cannot skip a step along the way. You have to take each step. So whether that be meeting someone at a restaurant, following up with them, giving them a random call, telling them how much you appreciate their time and effort into what they do. Each little thing that you do is an additional step. And if you want to get to a high quality relationship at the top of the staircase, you have to focus on taking each step with a purpose. So that being said, like I said, asking questions to people, being interested in them, find out about what people do and how you can add value to them. Whether that be an Instagram dm, whether it be an Instagram video. And this is a quick tip to everyone listening. A lot of people that send me Instagram videos of them speaking to me, they have a 10 times more likely chance of me getting back to them. Yes, I do try to get back to every single buddy. But the people that send me messages that I can see their face, I can hear their voice, I tend to get back to those people with the same exact message. I send them a video over, I send them a voice recording, I send them a more engaged response than people that just hit me up and say, hey, what's up, man? Because they are taking the time and effort to build a relationship with me from the start. And the same goes with you. If you want to connect with people, you want to build relationships. And the reason why I'm telling you this is because building strong relationships are so important. Number one, go out of your way to build relationships. Number two, remember this, no amount of money can buy a good relationship, and no amount of money can fix a crushed relationship. So make sure that you're putting in the time and effort to take each step properly to build the relationships that you have currently. And at the end of the day, you will reap the rewards. So, that being said, I want you guys to execute. Listening to this podcast, driving your car, listening to this podcast, sitting in your room right now is not going to make you execute. But I want you guys to have an execution plan coming from this podcast. So that being said, I want you to think about someone right now that you've been involved with for the last year in 2017. That's added value to you, that you've been all around the country with, to different events, to someone that you could have just met online. It doesn't have to be a close friend, but I want you to text someone and remind them about how much you value their relationship. And then if you don't have a text message or you don't text them, send someone a DM on Instagram and allow them to know how much you care about them when it comes to the relationship side of things. And let me know what they say back. Because the little things in life matter the most. Whether it be relationships, whether that be picking up someone who drops their bag, whatever it is, I want you guys to really focus on building these relationships because the little things matter. And I want you guys to execute on this and let me know what happens. Because it all comes down to the value that I'm putting out right now. The way you're listening to this podcast, this is something I'm doing not for myself. You have to understand that I'm doing it for you. I'm doing it for people. Listening and if you're able to get value from this, I very much would love for you to execute on what I'm saying, whether it be text someone, call someone that's in your network, do something good for somebody that you know or even you don't know, whatever it may be. If you want to build relationships with people that you don't know, the quickest way to do that is to be genuinely interested in what they're doing and to do something nice for them. Buy someone a drink at the mall, pay for their coffee at a Starbucks, whatever, whatever it may be. The little things work. And I'm telling you this from experience, I've had the privilege to meet tons and tons of top game changers. And every time I meet someone, once I position it, well, like I talked about in the last podcast, if you haven't checked it out, make sure you go listen to the podcast about how positioning is so important. But that being said, whenever I'm building a relationship with someone, I'm very, very strategic on what I'm doing, how I'm saying it, how I'm following up. And number one, I'm always focused on what I can do next to build this relationship. Not for that's the biggest thing. I'm not trying to get something from these people by giving. Like Gary Vee always says, you have to be very, very careful with your decisions. And my decision is whenever I'm doing something good for someone else, I have zero interest in ever getting anything back from them because I know I wanted to do that because I felt it was right and I knew it was right. And I know that the value would be fulfilling to me as well as help that person out. And if you have that mindset, I'm telling you guys, and this is just coming from literally experience I've had over the last year, year and a half. If you're focused on genuinely providing value, not just providing value, to get value back, to get something free or to close them as a client, if you're genuinely interested in providing value to people, people will come to you quicker than you'll ever imagine. And this, like I said, comes from experience. Come from speaking at events, come from hopping in a call by someone randomly at 2 o' clock in the morning and asking them how I can help them, whatever it may be, action plan is the key. Execution is everything. And listening to this podcast right now, the number one thing I want you to do right after this podcast ends because we still got some knowledge to drop, is number one, go to the Contacts in your phone. Scroll down to someone that you genuinely care about. Send them a message reminding them about how much you care about them. And let them know how you feel about them. Let them know about the value that you'd want to bring to them. Let them know how you can help them with whatever they're doing. And if you don't know them that much personally, but you admire them on social media, you admire them as a person, as an individual for their character. Make sure that you go to your Instagram DMs right now. If there's not someone that you want to text and send that person a DM one time with using text in the DMs, and then also create a voice message video of you asking them what you can do for them, as well as just appreciating what they do. Because as soon as you make the jump to send people direct messages with very strategic ways, meaning you're wanting to provide value to them in a genuine way, that's when you're gonna be able to get tons and tons of networking connections. That's when you're gonna be able to get so many new opportunities coming into your life. And what I mean by just the value of building relationships, like I've already said it multiple times, the way you. The reason you want to build strong relationships are very, very important. And that is because at the end of the day, you want to have good relationships with good people. And it starts with you becoming that good person. So if you're thinking right now, yeah, I've already done a lot of these things. Yeah, it's working for me. I've done this. I'm already a great person. Congrats to you. But I really want you to focus on taking execution right now on a daily basis, making people feel good about themselves, making people feel like you're there for them and make sure that you're not that person that's like, I don't know if I should text them. Is it a bad time? You got to get this. People love generosity. People love when you go the extra mile. And if people do that to you, you feel a certain way about someone. It all comes down to psychology and the way you're reading people, the way people read you. So that being said, the last one tip that I want to give to you, number one, execute on what I'm saying. Go to Instagram dm, go to your text messages, send people messages, and then at the end of this podcast, I want the people that are listening to send me a direct Message on Instagram acadams1 and once you do these tactics and you get a response, let me know what these people said. Let me know how it made you feel. And that being said, it's time to execute. Guys, thank you so much for tuning in to the Rise of the Young podcast. Remember, this is episode 15 of the Rise of the Young podcast. We are just getting started. Make sure you subscribe, make sure you leave a review, make sure you drop a rating. And very, very important, help me crush it with this podcast series. Guys, remember, at the end of the day, relationships are more important than profit. So that being said, I will see you guys on the next episode. PE Foreign.
