What's going on, everyone? Casey Adams here. And welcome back to the Rise of the Young podcast. Today it's April 23rd and I am in my hometown of Chesterfield County, Virginia, and I'm very excited because, number one, I have not posted a podcast within two months since February. It's April now. And number one, that is all my fault. And I take full responsibility. And for everyone that's listening, I thank you so much for taking the time to tune into this podcast. I am going to be posting three podcasts a week from this point on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. No more excuses. So on this episode, here's what I want to do. I want to give it to you straight. Number one, I'm going to be giving you an update about what this podcast is going to look like moving forward. Number two, I'm going to be telling you about what I have been working on these last three to four months. And number three, just giving you what's been happening in my life. I believe that over the last year and a half, since I started the Rise of the Young podcast, I've done so many interviews with world class entrepreneurs, literally hundreds. It's about to be a hundred to be exact. But I have not given you the information that I've learned personally directly to you, and I'm gonna start doing more of that. I want to start talking to you directly like this, me talking to the microphone, because this is where I believe that I can add the most value moving forward. And this is what I'm gonna do. So that being said, let's get right into it. This show and this episode is not going to be anything special. Matter of fact, I don't even have a plan for this episode. I'm just gonna be keeping it real, keeping it authentic, and giving you a rundown about what's been happening in my life, what you can be looking for and. Yeah, let's go. So like I said, right now, I'm back home. I'M in Virginia and I've been here since Thursday last week for Easter, shout out to Easter and I was in North Carolina with the family. Now I'm back in Virginia like I said and I leave Thursday morning to go back to Phoenix, Arizona. And if you're not familiar with who I am, my name is Casey Adams and I live in Phoenix, Arizona. And, and I run a brand known as Build you'd Empire. I have two amazing business partners, John Malott and Joshua Denny. And overall we showcase world class entrepreneurs through events and content on social media. But that being said, if you want to learn more, you can check out buildyourempire on Instagram. Check that out. We got about 1.5 million followers. Huge community of just amazing individuals, including yourself. But yeah, I'm in Richmond, like I said, in Virginia and it's super weird and I just want to keep it real, real quick because coming home to Virginia, where I grew up, after living in Phoenix for the past six months, it's a different perspective. Meaning instead of traveling to a different city when I lived in Virginia as like a quote unquote work trip or vacation, I'm now traveling home for a trip, meaning I'm only here for six days, then I'm going back to Phoenix, I'll be back in the summer. And yeah, it's just a different outlook. And I'm 18 now. I moved out at 18, I graduated high school a year ago and I was the first person in my family, I have two older brothers to move out and it's just been a crazy transition. And like I said, if you're listening right now and you're like, alright, where is this podcast going? This episode is just to give you a recap of what I've been doing, what's on my mind, what I've been thinking about and overall just giving you what's happening in my life as an individual because I believe I don't do that enough and I want to start doing more of it, including the interviews, but I just want to start talking to you and telling you what I'm thinking, telling you how I'm feeling and just keeping it real because I believe that's what can be valuable to you. But that being said, I'm going to give you a little recap about what's been happening in the last two weeks, three weeks, and just what's been happening so recently. Before I was in Virginia, I was in New York. I spoke at an event called netcon, which was amazing, and I did two phenomenal interviews that will be dropping soon, and I'm giving you some insights. If you're listening to the show, number one is with Charlie Walk. He was the president of Republic records from 2016 to 2018 and the president of Epic Records from 2005 to 2008. In 2018, he appeared as a judge on the Fox reality series the Four. And it was his first podcast that he ever did. And he's responsible for so many amazing musicians in the music space. Some of you may know Ariana Grande or the Weeknd or all these amazing artists. I can let you do your research on Charlie Walk, but it was the first podcast he ever did. And we went to his spot right next to the World Trade center in New York City, and it was amazing. I got to see all the MTV awards, he won the Nickelodeon Awards, and. And I just spent some time with him and got to know him, and he is phenomenal. So make sure you check out Charlie Walk. He's building out a very cool program called Music Mastery, and I'm excited to be involved with that. And also, while I was in New York, I got to meet the legend, the Mooch, Anthony Scaramucci, and shout out to my boy Mooch, who connected me with his father. And if you don't know who Anthony Scaramucci is, definitely go check him out. Not only did he work at at the White House as the director of communications, but he worked at Goldman Sachs investment banking firm between 18. I mean not 18, 1989 and 1996. And by the way, I'm not gonna edit this out. I'm keeping it real. I'm just gonna read this out to you. And this is coming directly from my Instagram caption. And after leaving Goldman Sachs, he founded Oscar Capital management. And in 2005, he founded the investment firm SkyBridge Capital. In 2011, Scaramucci received the Ernest and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and New York Award in the financial services category. And in 2016, he was ranked number 85 in Worth magazine's Power 100, the hundred most powerful people in global finance. And here's the three things that I learned from Anthony Scaramucci. And if you know Anthony Scaramucci, you know that his firm not only manages billions of dollars, but. But he is just someone that truly built an empire. But here's the three things that I took away from him. This is what he told me. Number one, stay forever young. Number two, don't take yourself too seriously. And number three, when you get knocked down, get up quickly, dust yourself off, and get back up and the reason why I want to give you these three tips today and the reason why I'm going over what happened when I was in New York City is because the the two people I just brought up, Charlie Walk and Anthony Scaramucci, their interviews are coming out within the next two weeks on the Rise of the Young podcast as well as the Build you'd Empire podcast. And real quick, I want to clear something up. So people always ask, what is the difference between the Rise of the Young podcast and the Build you'd Empire podcast? And here's the difference. The Build you'd Empire podcast is the podcast where myself and my two business partners, John Milott and Joshua Denny, we either a interview people together, we do interviews separately, or we all talk on different topics individually. That's the difference. And here at the Rise of the Young podcast, I either sit down with world class entrepreneurs or I give you my insights as an 18 year old entrepreneur that's building a brand, that's interviewing people, that's making it happen, and I'm just giving you how it is directly from me. So that's the difference. And I'm gonna be rebranding the Rise of the Young podcast within the next couple weeks once we hit the hundredth episode. And, and I'm pumped about that and you should be too. But overall, those three tips that I just went over, I highly, highly recommend that you write these down because it's something that if you understand the simplicity of the message, it'll hit you like number one, stay forever young. Some of the most amazing people that I've had the opportunity to sit down with are just the most, I would say, bubbly, outgoing and, and it seems like they're my age because they just have so much energy. And it's one of those things where my business partner, John Milott, he says, don't say someone's older than you, say they're more mature. So everyone that I've interviewed tends to be more mature than me, meaning they're older in age than me, but they all have a young energy. And what Anthony Scaramucci told me was stay forever young. And I'm like, dude, that is the truth. A lot of the recurring themes that I see from these successful people, and maybe it's yourself and you're listening and you're like, dude, why am I trying to be this version of myself? Like, why don't I just be young and feel like I am who I am and that's what I do, you know what I'm saying? I'm only 18, I am young, but every single day I'm just doing me and being the most genuine version of myself. But that being said, New York was dope. I spoke at an event, it was a good time. And those two interviews, I'm looking forward to number three, which is something I want to talk about real quick, is prior to that, I was in LA recently and I'm going to be bringing up two people who I also interviewed that have not been dropped yet on the Rise of Young podcast, and that is Justin Escalona and Ryan Blair. And if you don't know who these people are, I'm gonna be giving you the rundown of who they are. So number one, Justin Escalona. He is the CEO and founder of 1340 Collective, which is a phenomenal clothing brand in LA. And it's a funny story. So him and Khalid, who is that amazing rapper slash singer who's massively successful and famous? Justin found him on Twitter when he had 5,000 followers and they built a phenomenal relationship. And Justin has amazing documentaries of what him and Khalid did and his journey through college and what he's doing today. And overall, his content is just super dope. So shout out to Justin if he's listening. Definitely stay tuned for that podcast dropping soon because I'm pumped about it and you should be too, because he touched on a lot of things that he doesn't usually talk about. So. And if you want to follow Justin on Instagram, it's ustonescalona. Everything will be linked down below. Definitely check him out, but like I said, stay tuned for that. And last but not least, Ryan Blair. And I haven't posted about anything about Ryan yet on my Instagram, but he is literally a genius. He literally just built a company to over $700 million in annual revenue. He's 41 years old, he's a number one New York Times bestselling author, he's an athlete, he's a creator of many brands. And overall, his story from gang member to multi million dollar entrepreneur is insane. That's what he talks about in his book. He also has a new book called Rock Bottom to Rock Star. And I'm telling you, these books are phenomenal. I read them literally two years ago when I was 16 and they changed my perspective on everything I'm doing today. So shout out to Ryan Blair. That episode will be dropping soon. And the reason why I'm talking about other people today and just bringing them up is because I interviewed these people recently and I haven't dropped them. And I not only have been procrastinating it, but I'm just being transparent with you. There's no excuse why I shouldn't have uploaded a podcast since February. I always talk about it on social media of like, yo, this is my collaboration vehicle. This is how I connect with people. And it is. But something that I've been bad at is when I interview someone, sometimes it'll take more than a month to put it up because I'm doing everything myself. I'm uploading all of my podcasts, editing them and yeah, and for example, this podcast that you're listening to today, it's not gonna be edited. I'm just literally gonna finish this, go and upload it, and I hope you enjoy it. But my whole point of that is there's no excuse why I shouldn't be posting three times a week on my podcast. I have the accessibility, I have the resources, I have the, I would say, ability to do so. And I want to be transparent with you because I just got a phone call from my man Shipes, who. And I'm gonna keep this in the podcast as well. I'm gonna make sure I call him right back. But Shipes is actually the CEO and founder of, of an amazing record label called Cinematic Records. And you just heard that ring go off in the back of this podcast and literally I'm gonna let this go to voicemail. I'm gonna call him right back after this because I'm doing the podcast, I'm keeping it real and this is how this show is going to look moving forward. Is dude or female? I'm talking to you right now. I hope you're getting value. I hope you're understanding who I am, my journey. And I'll be doing another podcast where I give you a recap about my journey, who, my story. But I just wanted this one to be like I said a hundred times already, giving you an update, letting you know what I'm doing because I got some super cool stuff that my team on Build you'd Empire. We have some cool stuff cooking. Myself, John Malott, Joshua Denny, we have been completely focused on this brand build you'd Empire. And it's been my not only passion, but I would say drive and purpose the last year and a half. And it's one of those things where not only do we showcase world class entrepreneurs through our platform, but it's giving people an outlet of information, tools, resources, people, and we host world class networking events. And here's the thing, here's the thing. I'm gonna Keep it real. We are creating the complex con of business events. We're creating the most cool, engaging, exclusive events out there. And I'm just gonna say this to the podcast listeners, and this has not came out to the public yet about what's happening with Build you'd Empire. But since you're listening today, I'm gonna tell you so a lot of you may or may not be familiar with a guy named Drama. His name is Chris Drama Pfaff. He is the CEO and founder of Young and Reckless, which is a clothing brand. And he's cousins with Rob Dyrdek. His story, I'll give it to you shortly. He was on a TV show on MTV called Robin Big, as well as Rob Dyrdek's fantasy factory. And not only has he been a huge inspiration to me, but I've been watching his TV show since I was 8 years old in Virginia, going through middle school. I've been rocking Young and Reckless since I was literally 8 and 9. And it's been a huge brand all my life. But here's what I'm excited about. Build you'd Empire and Young and Reckless are having a business event together. Let me say that again. Young and Reckless and Build you'd Empire are collaborating and making a business event in LA May 18th. I'm dropping this episode of the podcast April 23rd, and we have not launched tickets yet. We're doing it this Friday and we're gonna have three weeks until the event. And I'm just keeping it real with you guys because no one knows this yet. I've hinted it here and there a little bit based off the Instagram post that I've been posting with Drama. But, dude, we have or female. We have an event coming up and I am excited about it. And this is something that is literally gonna change the game for. For business events. Literally. I'm excited. I'm really excited. And we have a video that's a skit that we put together. We're gonna be dropping it this Friday. And if you listen to this podcast beforehand, you're like, oh, now I get what he means. But I'm putting this out there because if you want to genuinely get involved with what I'm doing and what Builder Empire and my team, John Malott and Joshua Denny are doing, this is your opportunity. The Build your Empire Young and Reckless event happening in Los Angeles, California, May 18th. It's gonna be world class. It's gonna be exclusive, it's gonna be legit. It's gonna change the game. And here's the catch. It's only $50. 55. Oh. And you're like, what, you can't even go out to eat in LA without spending 50 bucks, right? And this is our whole goal. It's to create an event that is accessible to everybody, but it's. But it is exclusive to everybody. Meaning we're gonna cap it off at 300 people. And if you're listening to this right now, there's more than 300 people listening to this podcast that may or may not want to come to this event. And we're gonna sell out very, very fast. And I'm just bringing this up, I'm not trying to sell you. I'm not. And I'm not even gonna be like, yo, the link's down below. Cause the tickets are not even out yet as I speak. But I just want to say this because I'm very excited about it. I believe through this podcast moving forward, I want to talk about the things I'm excited about and I want to help you get excited about what you're doing. Because if you're not excited, genuinely passionate about what you're working on every single day, then why are you doing it? Period? Why are you doing it? I think I fell, I would say into a hurdle or a ditch on this podcast. And I haven't been consistent with it because I forgot, like, yo, yes, all these interviews mean the world to me and it's allowed me to connect with so many world class people. But I genuinely want to speak to you. I want to put out content for you, I want to help you through my experiences. And me talking to the mic like this, this is how it's gonna be from here on out. I want to keep it real, I want to keep it raw, I want to keep it organic. And I genuinely want to figure out how I can help you. And if this podcast has been at all valuable to you, let me know what you think. Share it with a friend, please. That's all I'm asking. Because I'm about to take this podcast a million times more seriously. Three times a week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, no excuses. So right now it is Tuesday. And I'm gonna post this on a Tuesday and then I'm gonna post Friday. So this is gonna be an exception. I'm gonna treat it like, yo, Tuesday, Friday. And I might, may or may not drop something on Wednesday, which is tomorrow, just because I feel like it. Because I want to start being more consistent. Because when I started my podcast, I interviewed and uploaded 40 episodes in like 60 days. And I was resilient with it and repetitive and consistent. And then I slowed down and I'm like, I'm looking back over the last year and a half and I'm like, why did I slow down? Like, why? And I don't have an answer. So this is the answer. It's getting back up to speed, it's dropping episodes, it's being consistent. And I am excited about it. And I want you to be excited too. And if there's one thing that I can wrap this up with, it's be excited. It's 2019. We have technology. You can build a personal brand. You can meet people on your phone. There's no excuses why you shouldn't be doing what you want to do in today's society. Literally. And if you're listening to this right now and you feel stuck or you feel just in a mindset that's not allowing you to become the best version of yourself, start putting yourself around people who are doing what they love and doing it for real. Period. Let's see, over the last year, I've been able to two years, just meet so many world class entrepreneurs and athletes and people who are passionate and progressing in what they want to do. And it's been a blessing because all these people, we feed off each other. It's good people. Find good people in your life, surround yourself with good people and just start putting good things in your brain every single day. And just to wrap this up, because I gotta call my man Shipes back. Because literally, if you listen to this whole thing, you might have heard that ring in the back and I gotta make a phone call and I'm just keeping it real. It's 10:22 at night, Tuesday, April 23rd. About to make this call and I gotta finish this podcast first. But I'm excited to be on this call. Cause I met him in New York and it was dope. Haven't had a chance to talk with him and he called me right in the middle of the podcast. So we gotta wrap it up, we gotta get back to business. That being said, I just want to say thank you. Thank you, honestly. Because this podcast and me speaking into this microphone right now would not be possible if it was not for you listening right now and moving forward. If there's one thing that would genuinely make me happy, it would be to share this episode with a friend. And let them know what you think. Be honest, let them know if it sucked, let them know if it was great, let them know about the event, let them know about anything. But if you could share this with a friend, it would mean the world to me. Drop a review in the podcast app on itunes. Let me know what you think. Send me a DM on Instagram. I have the little red DM mailbox emoji in my Instagram bio because I call it the DM slide emoji. And if you're not familiar with it, go check it out. It's in my Instagram biocyadams1. And yeah, everyone I've ever gotten in contact with, I sent them a dm. And maybe if you're listening right now and you want to get in contact with me, send me a dm. Let me know you came from the podcast. Screenshot. This podcast that you're listening to, post it on your Instagram story and tag me and I will 100% get back to you on Instagram. And I'm just giving out these tactics because this is how I do it and I'm speaking from what I'm doing what I did and I just want to help you. So that being said, thank you so much for listening to the Rise of the Young podcast. We are back and better. It's been two months without posting, but now we're about to be posting three times a week. No excuses. None. None. Ya. So let's go. Let's do this. It's time to be on a winning streak. And other than that, subscribe to the podcast. Let me know what you think and I will talk to you guys soon. Peace out. Talk to you soon.
