What's going on everyone? Casey Adams here. Welcome to the Rise of the Young podcast. Today it is episode 16 and we are going to be talking about something different today. And that is the top five productivity apps that I use in my life to help me stay organized. That as an entrepreneur I think would help you be very productive. And I'm going to be talking about apps, I'm going to be talking about strategies. So I have an iPhone and a lot of people asked me what are some apps that I use to stay productive. So I'm just going to be giving you five ways and, and five hacks that I use to stay on top of my game and productive. So number one is Amazon. So pretty much Amazon a few reasons why I love it and I'm sure you already know, is very simple and that is number one, if I need something like for example, I'm recording this audio on my new podcast microphone and I ordered it less than 24 hours ago and I was in Tennessee. I drove home and was already here for me waiting. So Amazon I would say is very, very nice. It's quick, it has anything you need and is the best time frame. So I would just say Amazon, if you don't use it a lot, make it the first page of your iPhone, home screen or even put it at the bottom dock because it's super effective if you actually utilize your resources. So that's what I would say about that. So number two, this is something that I just started to do recently on my iPhone and I've been starting to do a lot of different folders on my home screen. So the way I have my phone set up is just two screens. The main home screen. I have multiple different folders. So I have a folder with social media. I have Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, YouTube, SoundCloud, and Turtle, all these different apps. And then I have my banking folder, which I have bank of America, PayPal, Coinbase, Stripe, cash App, Venmo, all those different banking sort of things. And then I have communication folder, which is WhatsApp, Telegram, Skype, Voxer, Facebook messenger, and all that sort of messaging apps that I communicate with people with. And then I have my travel apps, which, which is Uber, Uber Eats, United Flights, American Flights, jetsmarter, Fly, Delta Lyft, and all of those things that I use when I travel. And then I have a Google folder, which I have Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Hangouts, Google Docs, Google Files, and all the stuff that I use regarding Google softwares. And then I have one of my favorites, which is sleep apps. And I use the app called Sleep Cycle. But I will be getting more into into depth about that very soon, so I'll be talking about that in the next five minutes or so. And then I have an app for food, Chick Fil, a Starbucks, Wawa, Outback, and Buffalo Wild Wings. And those are different folders that I have on my homepage. Regarding the way I stay organized, I like to keep stuff inside folders and I have different words that kind of allow me to see what I need on my home screen. So number one, I have a social media folder, a banking folder, communication folder, travel folder, business folder, Google folder, food folder, and sleep folder. So those are the main folders I have on my home screen. And yes, I have my notes in a separate kind of folder regarding stuff where I keep all my private information. And then a lot of people ask me as well, what do you have on the bottom of your iPhone? So I have the music app, Safari, Instagram and text messaging. And those are just some of the applications I use regarding what I'm the most. Definitely, you're texting a lot of people on my team. And then Instagram, always checking on there with my clients, and then Safari. Whenever I need something, whether it be a website or just Google something, boom, it's there. And then for music, I'm definitely always listening to music and podcasts. So I have the itunes app on the bottom home row. So that's just my setup on the home screen. That wasn't a specific app, but that's just something that I do so number one was Amazon as a productivity hack. Number two was I use folders on my home screen. I like to call them niche folders and I keep them in categories on the first screen. And that's very important to me to help me stay organized. So another thing that I use to help me stay organized, which is very, very vital to what I do, is just the normal Notes app on your iPhone. So in Notes, I keep everything from notes I need to do today, folders that I create, content that I need to do, and just really anything regarding passwords, staying organized by to do list what I plan to do whenever I'm on flights. It's funny, I'll write huge messages inside of my Notes app and then I'll kind of gather those into folders. So regarding productivity or just stuff I use in general on my phone, I would say definitely, definitely. If you aren't keeping a lot of notes in your phone, it could be very, very productive if you do so and if you organize it properly. So I use the Notes thing, just the normal app I use also Evernote, but I've found myself to rely a lot more on just the normal Notes app because I have all my data in there already. So the next thing I want to talk about is something very cool. It is an app called Sleep Cycle. And pretty much what Sleep Cycle is, it's something that I've been using for the last year or so. And I always set alarms in the morning. I always used to set alarms in the morning, I should say just by the normal alarm app on the iPhone. But what Sleep Cycle does, it's very different. It'll track your sleep patterns and it'll wake you up when you're most awake so that it's amazingly easier to get up in the morning. So pretty much it'll follow your wavelengths as you sleep. You put it next to your bed, it'll record the movement and kind of just track how you sleep overall. And then if you want to wake up at 7:30 in the morning, you tell it I want to wake up at 7:30. And it will wake you up anywhere from 7:20 to to 7:30, so a 10 minute time frame. And whenever you're the most awake according to your sleep patterns, it'll come out with an amazing tone. Not like an annoying type of tone like the iPhone does, but it will come out with a soothing tone to wake you up. And it's just something very natural that I've been able to use that has allowed me to wake up much easier when it comes to an application on my phone. So if you have not checked it out, make sure you check it out again. That is called Sleep Cycle. And then last but not least, one of my favorites that I've used for the last year and a half is Fiverr. So Fiverr F I V E R R is an application I use to get a lot of small tasks done, including quick and easy tasks such as logo design, such as recording this intro for my podcast, for example. It's very fast, it's simple to use, it's a simple app and it's just you can use it to delegate a lot of small things and you can definitely go ch. It's called Fiverr. I'm sure a lot of you listening have heard of it before. But that is the last app that I use. Remember I'm doing a top five productivity apps you need to use. And I know I gave you guys a number two, just kind of the way I keep my folders, but I consider that a hack that I use. So that was my five again, Amazon number one, it's something if I need it, I order it, boom, it's there the next day. I use it all the time. Number two, I use folders on my home screen. I niche my app sections. I keep them in CA categories on the screen and that's very important to me because I can stay organized. And then number three, I write a lot of stuff down inside of my notes section, which is very dope. Keep everything organized, you can search, whatever. I keep emails, every single thing that I've created a password for inside my notes. Number four, the app called Sleep Cycle, which is an app that will allow you to wake up easier. It will allow yourself to create a clean morning routine. You can track your sleep patterns, you can see the way you sleep. It's funny because every day I wake up I'll notice that my sleep patterns are quite depending on the way I fall asleep, whether it be I'm staying up till 2 in the morning and waking up at 7 or waking up later. You can see yourself falling into a deep sleep very quickly if you use a lot of energy throughout the day. So regarding the Sleep Cycle app, definitely check it out. If you haven't already, shoot me a DM on Instagram CaseyAdams1 once you download it and let me know what you think because for me it's made a huge impact on the way I wake up in the morning. And it's just funny because a lot of people, they don't really know how to get up early, they don't know the secrets to sleeping better or whatever it may be, because sleep is definitely very important. But the sleep cycle app, definitely check it out, let me know what you think. And then last but not least, I know we talked about this, but Fiverr, if you haven't checked it out, go check it out, get your tasks done, delegate a lot of stuff. Low as $5 and simple to use. But yeah, I mean, first things first, I want to say thank you so much for listening to the Rise of the Young podcast. If you have any productivity apps that you're currently using on your phone, make sure to DM me aceadams1 and I will definitely check it out because I just wanted to make this entire podcast because someone asked me, hey, what is the way you lay out your phone? And it's a curious question because I've asked people this as well and I noticed that a lot of people, the way they set up their phone and it kind of just. You can determine what kind of person they are. Do they just have a bunch of random apps? Are they organizing their phones like it's just something cool. So, I mean, I hope you guys got some value from this. Like I said, if you have any apps that you use that have helped you in any way, please let me know. I would love to check them out. And that being said, I hope you guys test these apps. I'm sure everyone listening is on Amazon. I'm not sure if you guys are currently using folders, but test that out. Let me know what you think. Write down a lot of notes, get the sleep Cycle app, and use Fiverr to delegate quick everyday stuff. So that being said, everyone listening, please subscribe to the Rise of the Young podcast. Drop a review, leave a written rating. Let me know what you think about this episode. And for that being said, thank you so much. I will see you on the next episode.
