What'S going on everyone? Casey Adams here. Welcome back to the Rise of the Young podcast and today we have an exciting episode because it's about podcasting. And it's kind of funny because you're listening to this podcast and we're about to talk about the value of a podcast because this is something that I strongly believe in. And we have an interesting topic to kick it off here today. And I'm just going to get right into it. QUOTE from 1:37pm which is a media brand that I love. This is what they said. Mark Zuckerberg is starting a podcast about the future of the Internet. And before I go in depth on this, I want you to take a moment. Mark Zuckerberg, CEO and founder of Facebook worth billions of dollars, is starting a podcast podcast. One of my favorite quotes is good artists steal great artists copy. If there's one thing I want you to take away from this podcast already, it's start a podcast. And you'll know why, because we're about to get into it. So I'm going to read you this article real quick from 1:37pm Even though he's worth over $67 billion, Mark Zuckerberg is just like us in a lot of ways. He spends way too much time on Facebook and he's starting his own podcast. The first episode of Tech in Society with Mark Zuckerberg dropped on Tuesday and featured a conversation with Harvard Law professor Jonathan Zittron. The two cover everything from encryption and privacy to misinformation. And in the next episode, Zuck chopped it up with Matthias Dauphiner. Excuse me if that was not how you say it. He is the CEO of Axel Springer, the largest news publisher in Europe, about how Facebook can surface more high quality news and they share their ideas for how the social media giant could be regulated. So at the start of this year, Mark Zuckerberg made a resolution to have more public conversations about society, technology and their impact on one another. Zuckerberg has originally posted video of his talks with Zitterin and Dauphiner to to his profile before deciding to turn them into a full blown podcast. Will you be rocking zuck in your AirPods? What other CEOs do you want to get into the podcast game? Whoo. I'm not gonna read that again, but if you need to hear that again, go back and listen to it because this freaking pumps me up. Mark Zuckerberg is starting a podcast. Zuckerberg, like, it gets me pumped up. And the way 1:37pm ended this. What other CEOs do you want to get into the podcast game? Personally, I want you to get in the podcast game. I want every single person listening to this podcast to start a podcast. Not because it's gonna saturate the market, but because it allows you to build real relationships with your audience and with the people that you are impacting online. And it overall gives you, oh, excuse me, I just got a FaceTime call. But we're going to ignore that for now. And overall, back to the point. Podcasting, podcasting. Podcasting. 2019 is the year for podcasting. I started mine 2017 and it completely changed my life. From allowing me to sit down with over 90 world class entrepreneurs and just overall get in the rooms with people that I wouldn't have the opportunity to sit down with just because I have a microphone in between us. And it completely changed the game for me. And if you aren't familiar with podcasting or maybe you don't know how to start one, I'm gonna be giving you some brief information about what you can do to start one. Number one, find a third party platform to use, whether that's anchor or any other podcast platform that you can find. Literally Google it. How to start a podcast. And you will figure it out. But get a podcast cover, find the name of your podcast and start recording your first podcast. Because you need those three things to upload your podcast and submit it to itunes. And if you're questioning yourself, why should I start a podcast? What would I talk about? I literally want you to just start. Maybe it's a podcast where you just talk about your experiences or your business or whatever it is. Or maybe you have a podcast and you should start taking it more seriously. Because myself, I'm doing a podcast every single day until May 18th. And previously I didn't post a podcast for two months. And I talked about this on episode 91 titled I'm Back. And if you want to go listen to that, definitely check that out because I talk about what this podcast is going to look like moving forward. But overall, the main thing I want to get to you today. This isn't gonna be a long show. I just wanted to tell you that Mark Zuckerberg is starting a podcast and you should too, because you have a story to tell, you have information to talk about, and you have things people want to know. Whether it be you're 13 years old and you just got started in E commerce or you are a billionaire like Mark Zuckerberg. A podcast is a form of communication. It's a form of media. And personally I haven't had a TV in three years and, and I get all of my information and news online and on podcasts because it's hard to listen to a podcast quick, meaning if you listen to a Joe Rogan podcast, that's two and a half hours, you actually have to listen and you're gonna learn something. But when you watch a 20 second news, I would say just broadcast, it's so fast and you just don't get any context. Podcast brings context to you and, and your company and the issues that you want to speak on. And overall it's just a genuine relationship builder. Whether it's you want to interview people or not, I would highly recommend it because you doing collaborations with people on your podcast is literally very valuable in the sense that it gives you a collaboration vehicle to leverage other people's audience which will then build your personal brand. So that being said, I know this was literally a couple minute episode, but I just wanted to tell you because it's simple, it doesn't need to be longer. Start a podcast, do it. Why not ask yourself that question? Whether it's you post once a week or once a month, or once a day or once a year, whatever it is, just have a podcast because it's important. It's good to do. I speak from experience. It's gonna help you. And if you want to ask me a question about podcasting that I did not go over today, maybe you have some problems starting it, or you don't know what to talk about, or you don't know how to do it, shoot me a DM on Instagram because the DMs is where it goes down. And I said this before, but if you check out my podcast cover, which I'm sure a lot of you already have, because it's new, got the little emoji in the bottom left hand corner and it's a mailbox emoji, which is the AKA DM slide emoji. And I'm always gonna tell you, if you want to get in touch with me, DM me, shoot me a DM slide on my DMs. Whatever it is, just DM me today, ask me questions, let me know I can help you and overall start a podcast. Because, hey, Mark Zuckerberg is so why not you? That's that being said, thank you so much for tuning into the Rise Young podcast. Thank you so much for your time today. And all of the links about podcasting and about Mark Zuckerberg starting a podcast will be down below, so make sure you check that out. Other than that, share this with a friend that you believe should start a podcast. Share this with someone that has a story to tell and information to talk about, because it only takes showing someone that someone else has done it to give someone the motivation to do it. So share this with a friend that you believe should start a podcast. And overall, I'm excited to start checking out all of your podcasts. Peace out, guys. Keep killing it. Rise of the Young Boom.
