What'S going on, everyone? Casey Adams here. And welcome back to the Rise of the Young podcast, your new number one favorite business podcast. And today it is Thursday, July 18th, and I'm fairly excited because today I'm going to be talking about becoming close friends. Whether that's with people in your life, with myself, or overall, how you can join something that I've recently came up with that I want you to be a part of. But before we get into that, make sure you subscribe. Make sure you please leave a rating and a review on the iTunes podcast app. It would truly mean the world to me. And also screenshot you listening to the Rise of the Young podcast. Post it on your Instagram story and tag myself as well as Rise of the Young. And I will be reposting all of you. So please do do that. It truly means the world. And here we go. So I have something to talk about today and it is in regards to networking. Because for me, over the last three years, building a quality network has been the number one priority to me. And here's why. You may be listening right now. You may have the best business in the world. You may be starting your business, you may be running your business and you're trying to define it. You may be trying to build on social media. You may be trying to start a podcast, whatever it is, that no matter old or young, listen up. The people in your life will dictate the decisions and the opportunities in your life. Because we all know the cliche quote, you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. And that is the truth. Because the close friends in your life are the people that will either help or hurt the decisions you make. The people in your life that help the decisions you make will want the best for you. They will tell you and give you advice that is not only meant to help you, but it's meant to truly, I would say, be a straight shooter, right? People don't want to hear what they want to hear. People need to hear what they need to hear. And close friends do that for you. But I'm here today to really just bring you some clarity on the people you're spending time with. Because here's the truth. I need you to truly define who someone in your life is that is a close friend to you. And once you have that person in your head and you're visualizing them, you're visualizing the relationship you have with them. Ask yourself, are they truly helping me or hurting me? Are they introducing me to people in my life that are going to benefit me or tear me down? Because here's the key. Your association and the reputation you build with the people in your life is the key to future opportunities. We all know this. And over the last three years, I've been to so many business events, and sometimes relationships don't go past that, right? There's maybe someone in your life that you see at every single networking event you go to, but you don't hop on a call with them, you don't text them, you don't FaceTime them, you don't truly know them. So therefore, they're not your close friend. Because the close friends in your life that I've seen are the people that you consistently speak to, hear from, and you get advice from. But it's so true. And I'm actually speaking at two events over the next week and a half, one being on July 24th in Phoenix, Arizona. I'm speaking with Grant Cardone, John Malotte, Elena Cardone, Brandon Dawson, and so many other amazing speakers. That is called the Impact Players Tour. And I spoke more about that on my recent podcast. But if you're in Arizona and you're listening to this, definitely check them out. I will be speaking there. It's gonna be a phenomenal event. But that being said, the people you may meet at this event, the people you will meet at networking events, if you truly know how to network, if you truly know how to carry yourself. Because here's the truth. Networking, quote, unquote, is unattractive, right? You want to focus on relationship building. You don't want to just come across someone, get their business card and not talk to them because you networked with them, right? Like, that's not the end goal. The end goal is genuine relationships with people. You can Trust. I'm gonna say that again. Genuine relationships with people you can trust. Because if you don't have trust in any relationship, whether that's business partners or family or relationships with your spouse, whatever it is, you will not have a true relationship because the lack of trust. And yes, trust is something myself, I give to everyone until they proved to me not to. But everyone has a different outlook on trust. But to truly have a close friend and have people in your life that can help you, trust has to be there. And networking with a bunch of people isn't valuable unless you truly build with them. You can trust them and you can obviously gain value from them, because the people you're around are either helping you or hurting you, period. It's black and white. You don't want to be around someone that you don't know if they're helping you or they're hurting you. You don't want to. You have to clearly understand who and what the people in your life are doing to you in terms of how they're affecting you. So back to the point I always think about personally, and I want you to think about this, too. Over the last week, who have you spent the most time with? Who would you like to spend more time with? And number three is the person you're becoming, someone people want to associate with or distance from. Because the truth is, you are a lot of the problems you cause in your life. The blaming game is not what is going to get you ahead. See, a lot of people, you may notice this or you may not, or maybe, you know someone that says, oh, oh, I don't see this person much. Oh, this person stopped coming around. Whatever it is, is it that they stopped coming around or you became the person they don't want to be around? And maybe it's vice versa. Maybe you didn't just stop hanging out with one of your old buddies. You stopped because they were tearing you down, they weren't giving you positive vibes. And no matter what side you're on, think about it. Because the person you carry yourself to be and the person you are and the person you genuinely, I would say, put out there into the universe by the energy you portray, those energy and those feelings you put out to other people dictates whether they want to be around you or not, period. Like, end of story. Like, I spend and take the time to try to connect with and personally have interest in whoever I meet, whether that's at an event or. Or whatever. And I truly try to be present with that person. Because if you are ignoring someone, or if you are having such a big ego that just completely tears down other people, you think you're the best and you think, oh, people should wanna connect with me. No, why should people wanna connect with you? Whether that's you're more successful or not, the people who you truly build with are the people that genuinely connect. And what I've seen is usually a lot of the top people that I've connected with. I'm not gonna say any names, but they have this filter I would like to say, and it's not a bad filter at all. It's actually a really good thing that you should pick up and learn from. And I have personally learned from seeing these people do this. If there's someone that's in a room and they're so successful. And I'm not even just saying financially, but I'm just saying accomplishments, because I define success honestly by accomplishments, right? You always want to accomplish more things. You always want to get more points on the board, right? People that have filters that instantly block people out are a good thing and a bad thing. Meaning you always want to associate yourself with people that are either on your level or above you, that you can learn from. But the truth is, you want to also take time to help others. And that's what so many of these massive influencers do on social media. That's their way of giving back. That's their way of communicating with people that they can help. But when they're at a business event and there's 20 other speakers that they want to build with and thousands of other people are coming up to them, they're going to make sure they spend time with the speakers because they want to build better relationships with the people that they can build with and that have or are equal to what they've built in a way. Right? You always want to find the people that can truly help you. You have to make sure you bring value to the table. And this is what I talk about all the time on my close friends list on Instagram, and I talk to my close friends about this. You must bring value to the table. Like, if you're sending a DM on Instagram and you're not bringing value, why are you doing it? I have 25 DM scripts that I use all the time that work in terms of they get me a quality response and that person feels obligated to respond back to me. And therefore, those scripts have truly changed the game for me. And I have so many people always asking me, oh, what is the key to DMing people, what is the key to the script? Because it's language, it's communication, it's understanding. How much rapport do you have with someone? It's understanding. Do you have rapport with this person at all? Or do you think you have rapport with them? Because the communication you give to someone is the how they're going to respond if you say, yo, what up, man? In the DMs, they're probably not going to send you a quality response. But if you take time to craft a quality message and give them pure value and give them a reason to respond to you, they will more than likely get back to you if they see your dm because you have a quality message. Like, that's the key. You have to position yourself for success. Because if you're DMing Tony Robbins or Oprah or whoever it is, chances are they probably won't see your message. I mean, I've DM'd Tony Robbins and Oprah and they've never responded back to me. But the truth is, if you send these DMs to people that you want to connect with later down the line, if they do come across your DM, is it quality? Think about this. You should be DMing every single person that you were like, that you try to get in touch with on Instagram, like you're DMing your idol, whether that's a musician or Tony Robbins or whoever it is. You have to treat every person in terms of communication like they are someone that would truly, truly be someone you want to connect with. Like the great. You know what I'm saying? Like, if you could send a message to Jeff Bezos, I'm sure you wouldn't say, yo, what's up, man? On Instagram DMs, right? You would want to craft a short but concise, direct to the point message that gets their attention and gives them a reason to respond. And if you can do that with other people in the DMs, and the reason I'm speaking about this, because I'm talking about communication. I'm talking about planting the seeds to building relationships. I'm talking about something that is truly valuable to what you want to do when it comes to building relationships. But this podcast, this isn't gonna be a long episode. I believe that the podcast that I've been doing recently, I want them to be shorter, but then also have some that are longer and in depth. But I want to give you tactical things to do or things to say or things to act on. So for today, this is something that I've been getting so many, I would call it messages about on Instagram. People always asking me, what is the DM script? Or do you have any DM scripts you use to get in touch with these people? How do you build genuine relationships? How do you build your personal brand? How do you get more PR and, and notoriety and build your digital footprint? And the truth is, yes, I have over 25 DM scripts that have positively worked for me on Instagram. And it's these DM scripts that I've used over and over and over and over again that have gotten me a response from a quality person because they feel obligated to respond to me. So here's what I wanna do today for everyone listening. I recently opened up on Instagram the close friends access list for a select amount of people. And this is something that I truly launched for the intent to build more quality relationships with people that want to learn from me, but to really just build a small group of people that want to learn from me on a daily basis through Instagram stories on the close friends list. And that's where I'm going to be giving so much fine line, detailed explanations of DM scripts, of podcast tips, and here's the truth. The most important thing about what I'm offering to you today is I have so many quality people in my life that I want you to meet. But the truth is I can't introduce you to 20 people in my life over Instagram in terms of thousands of people see my stories like tens of thousands. And it's hard for me to genuinely connect you with someone because a lot of these people don't want to put out their personal email address. So the offer I'm making you today is something I want you to act on. If this is for you, if you want to be in a small closed group on Instagram stories on my close friends list where I will be personally introducing you and a group of people less than 50 to people in my life that I believe you can truly gain value from, whether that's PR experts or podcast experts or whoever it is. I'm opening up this close friends list to overall make a connection with you to someone quality in my network. They're going to be getting you personal access to their email so you can send them emails with the subject line saying Casey Adams Close friends. And like I said, this is going to be a very exclusive group. The one thing is, and I'm going to be very transparent with every single person listening. It is a $250 one time fee for access to my Close Friends list because I want quality people who are willing to invest in themselves to be a part of this list. And like I said, it's very exclusive, it's going to fill up very quickly and overall I'm going to be posting on there every single day in depth tactics of relationship building of DM scripts, over 25 DM scripts that I've used. And I'm going to be having theoretical breakdowns of why you should use this one in this certain situation and why you shouldn't use this one. And overall it's going to be very tactical, very concise, very clear. And the cherry on top is I'm going to be truly introducing you to people in my network, bringing on special guests, giving you access to their personal email of quality people that have added value to my life that I can show you examples on whether that's getting my pr, my digital footprint ranked or my podcast ranked, whatever it is. So I'm not gonna say this anymore. I have to actually head to the airport in the next 30 minutes. So I'm gonna wrap this podcast up. If you are interested in joining the Close Friends list, DM me on Instagram saying R O T Y. I'm going to say it again. If you are interested and you feel like you qualify to be on my Close friends Instagram stories, DM me Casey Adams one on Instagram saying Roty. And Roty stands for Rise of the Young Song. For everyone that does that, I will be responding and getting back to each and every single one of you. And remember, I'm not trying to pitch you or say oh you gotta join this. I'm just saying this because I have hundreds of messages from people who want to know the DM scripts, who want to get more personal access to me and overall there's a lot of in depth value that I will be putting on the close Friends list. So that being said, I'm not gonna talk about it any longer. Just, just DM me on Instagram R O T Y if you are interested and I'll see if you qualify for that. So that being said, on this Thursday morning I'm heading back to Phoenix. I'm pumped up, about to head to the airport. I'm about to finish the book Chick Fil A. What is it called? Help More People. I don't know the exact title, it's downstairs. But I'm finishing a book by the owner of Chick Fil A and he is overall talking about customer experience and just how he puts the customer first and how the quality of every customer interaction is most important. And I would highly recommend you pick up this book. So I'm definitely gonna be crushing this book on the flight back to Phoenix. So if you were looking for any books or you've been trying to pick up a good book recently, that's just my personal recommendation based off of the book I'm currently reading. Shout out to my buddy Anthony Bowes for giving me this book. He actually. It's funny. Shout out to my boy Anthony. He's one of my best friends in Richmond, Virginia, where I'm from. He's a phenomenal artist and he actually got this book from the daughter of the owner and founder of Chick Fil A and it's pretty cool. So shout out to you, Anthony. Appreciate the gift. And yeah, that being said, if this is your first time listening to the Rise of Young podcast, make sure you subscribe. Make sure you leave a comment and a rating down below on the itunes podcast app. Screenshot it put it on your Instagram story. That was an episode. Thank you so much for tuning in. Have a phenomenal week. Crush the day. Go write down your goals and actually do something today that can be productive for your future. Get off your phone. You don't have to listen to millions of episodes of podcasts. Act and execute on something that will get you closer to your goals. Period. That being said, I hope you have a phenomenal day. Talk to you tomorrow on Friday. Peace.
