What'S going on, everyone? Casey Adams here. And welcome back to the Rise of the Young podcast. I'm pumped up today. Happy Friday. And before we get started, there's one thing I want to tell you about, and that is please leave a review on Apple podcast app and let's get to 500 ratings and reviews. Because once we do that, I will be releasing the next storyboard on RiseOfThe Young on Instagram. So if you're an avid listener and you tune in three times a week, make sure you go, leave a review, drop a rating, and let's get to 500. I think we're about 70 away, so let's get it done. And that being said, today's episode is about something very important to me and I want it to be important to you, and that is raising your standards. Because here's the truth. Three years ago, I was 15 years old. I'm 18 now, and I come from a city where people don't have, I would say, ambitious goals. They're people that I've literally grown up in the environment of. Go to school, get a job, live in the same community, make your kids go to the same schools and retire. Maybe when you're 60 or 70 or hey, maybe you might not ever retire. And I come from a community where it's just very close minded. You know, it's like when you say, hey, let me go to Dubai or China, they're like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. That's way outside my comfort zone. That's way outside my bubble. No, it's not safe. Don't do it. Uh, and they, they talk about all these negative points of everything that's a positive meaning. Oh, don't take risk. Cause you might fail. Oh, if you fail, then you're a failure. Oh, if you fail, then you gotta come back to reality. Oh, don't think so much and don't set big goals. Think logically. And yes, that may be true, that it's good to be logical. But here's the problem. After sitting down with over a hundred world class entrepreneur, I've learned that the people who win and the people who are successful are the people that set their standards so high that the remainder. And the logical person thinks you're literally crazy. And what I mean by crazy is they think it's crazy to want to make a million dollars a year. They think it's crazy to travel all over the country. They just think it's crazy to make money online. And they do not believe it and they don't want to believe it and therefore they tell you that it's not possible. Right? And I would say raise your hand if you have heard that before. But since we're listening to the podcast, I want you to just take a moment and think about how many times in your life have you heard from someone else, oh, don't do that, it's not possible. Oh, that's not realistic. You couldn't do that. Like set your goals, be realistic, all that sort of, I would say, naysayer talk. We've all heard it before. If you're an entrepreneur, we've all heard it before. If you want to start a business, and especially if you're listening to this podcast and you're rising or you're young and the truth is, don't let those opinions matter to you because if you let those opinions dictate your actions, you are just going to end up like them. You know, the quote is this, that I want you to understand you are the average of the five people you hang around, right? And you've heard this before. Chances are. But listen to it and apply it. You know, I have the most amazing people in my life. They motivate me, they push me forward, they set goals, they criticize me in a positive way and they want me to be better. And if you're around people that are continuously not motivating you, they're tearing you down. You can't be the most transparent version of you in front of them. They tell you your goals aren't realistic and they're just shitting on you and everything you do, cut them out of your life, period. I remember I was 16 years old in high school and I'm hanging around all these people that just don't have goals. They tell me that making money online is a Fantasy. They tell me that. What are you doing on Instagram talking to your camera? What are you doing holding a button down and putting out an Instagram story, talking about books and success? And like, what is that, bro? Chill out. That's stupid. And I remember hearing some of these people say that to me, and I was like, dude, I didn't say it to them in person. I was thinking about this. I was like, dude, do not tell me what I can't do. That is a reflection of you. And if you've heard people and you've been around people that tear you down, it's gonna be easy to embrace the people that push you forward. It's gonna be easy to be the most transparent person when you're around people that can push you forward. And here's my thing to you, I want you to truly analyze who do you spend the most time with? Is it your parents? Is it your brothers? Is it your sisters? Is it your co workers? Who is it? Is it your children? Who do you spend the most time with in your life? And once you get that narrowed down, do they motivate you? Do they push you forward? Do they inspire you? And if the answer is no, I think we both know what you need to do, and I'll leave it at that. And if you're not picking that up, you need to cut them out. You need to truly cut those people out of your life. And not even in a negative way. I'm just saying slowly dismiss yourself from those group of people. Right? I come from a town where it's the regular to go out every Friday, Saturday night, it's the regular to look forward to Friday. And the truth is, if you are not looking forward to Monday morning and you're pumped about Friday afternoon, you need to frickin cut the shit out. You need to literally stop looking at your life like that. Because the truth is, all we have is the now. And if you're letting a date on the calendar dictate your happiness and dictate your emotions towards the day, chances are that you're living a miserable life. And I'm just being transparent because honestly, at this point in my life, I'm 18 years old, and if you let the calendar dictate the way you think, that means the calendar has control of you, literally. And the key is control your calendar. Right? There's so many entrepreneurs that I know that they are the, I would say, magicians of time management. They make so much happen in such short periods of time because they understand the word leverage. You know, they're leveraging themselves, they're hiring employees, they're hiring assistants, they're automating their systems, they're building funnels, they're doing things to duplicate themselves. And the truth is, if you work for somebody else, or if you are a solopreneur and you're working for yourself and you don't have a team that you can delegate resources to, you are going to be caught doing everything. And that's okay, that's normal. But here's what I want you to understand. Understand that leverage is key, right? If I send 25 DMs a day, or if I have 10 people send 25 DMs a day, I'm reaching 250 people. So what is your leverage? Ask yourself, how are you leveraging your time? Or is your time leveraging you? Right? Can you maximize four hours a day? Or can you get two people to maximize four hours a day, which is eight hours a day, Right? Just think about it in terms of a number game. But back to the point, if you come from a town, or maybe you still are in that town where you're letting other people's opinions dictate your actions, you are not self aware to understand that that is not the right environment to be in. And today's podcast, I'm here to call that shit out. Because if you're listening right now and you want to strive for more, like literally, I remember I was 15 years old writing in my journal, I want to travel all over the country, I want to move out to the west coast. And I come from a small town in Virginia. It's literally unheard of to move out to the West Coast. Every person I know on the west coast or in Arizona or California or anywhere in the world has came from social media. It's came from me on my damn phone, reaching out, building relationships, following up with them, hopping on calls with them, going to events and doing the dirty work. If you're not willing to do the dirty work, then this game is not for you. If you are willing to commit to investing hours and hours and days and days and years and years into your brand, into your business, into your relationships, then I believe we're on the same page. Because I've been able to meet so many world class people. I'm talking about billionaires, I'm talking about people that have massive organizations with thousands of employees. I'm talking about people that own private jets and they've bought them cash. I've been around so many, not only wealthy people, but people who understand the value of time. And the the truth is, if you're wasting time right now letting other people dictate what you're thinking, what you're doing, what you're acting like, the true successful people call that weak. You're weak minded. This game isn't for you. And they would call you out and the chances are you haven't been caught out. And I want this to be a reminder. Not only not saying I'm calling you out, but I want you to be aware. That's the key. If this podcast can make you aware of something that you weren't aware of, then my job is done here. And I want you to truly be aware of. Are the people in your life motivating you, inspiring you? Or are they tearing you down and not allowing you to be the person you want to be? Because here's the truth. You have one life. I'm 18 years old right now. I turned 19 on July 9th. And the truth is I'm not going to be 18 years old again. I'm gonna be 19, then I'm gonna be 20, then I'll be 30, then I'll be 50. And time will continue to move. And you have to understand, you have to let time work for you. Because if you're just wandering in life and you're lost, that's okay. But listening to podcasts and surrounding yourself with right people, going to business events and just like truly getting new people in your life is the cure to, of just self doubt. Because if you can be in an environment where people strive and motivate you, your life will change, Trust me. And if you're already in that environment, I understand that you know the power of this. And chances are you're just nodding your head right now like, yep, that is the truth. I've been to business events, I've been to so many different life changing events. And yes, that's the truth. But for those or those who haven't even experienced any side of this industry of entrepreneurship, the truth is people do business with people. People will change your life, right? You contact any company who's behind it. A person, right? Everyone you follow on social media is a person. They sleep, they shower, they get changed. They are no different than you and I. I'm no different than you are. I log into Instagram, I've refreshed the page, I check my DMs, I post on Instagram. But I have a strategy, I have a format, I have leverage now. I have positioning, I have a brand. And if you are just not even building a personal brand. But understand there's levels to everything. Literally. Tony Robbins says it best. Raise your standards. If you want to make $10,000 a month or $100,000 a month or whatever it is, always know that when you hit that, you're either gonna A, be comfortable or B, you're gonna strive for more. And the people who win are the people that understand that striving for more will only benefit you in the long run. And if you're not striving for more, you are complacent and you will be left behind. So to just continue on this podcast, I have a question to you listening and whether you're driving right now, whether you're sitting in your room, or whether you're walking your dog, think about this briefly. If you were to ask yourself, are the people in your life truly helping you get and accomplish your goals? Yes or no, would you answer? Yes. And if not, you truly need to not only rethink the people you're around, but completely remove the people in your life that are tearing you down and holding you back. And I'm not even saying just remove them from your life. I'm saying mentally block them out of letting their opinions dictate your actions, because your actions are what will push you forward. And if you're letting demotivated people and uninspired people dictate your actions, that means they are taking advantage of you for the worse. And the truth is, the people that spread negativity, the people that tell you that you can't do something, are the people that will never accomplish their goals, period. Because they don't even believe it. They're not even self aware enough that the most successful people in the world are. They think they're untouchable, they put them on a pedestal, but in reality, they're no one different than you. They're the same type of person with different habits, different work ethic, different skills, different drive. And if you want to strive for more, you need to change those things about yourself. I remember I walked into Grant Cardone's office one day and just to see the way he moves, that every minute counts. I do a podcast. Boom, hour and a half. Next, I see him go to a meeting, I see him pop out, I see him talk to the team, I see him do a sales meeting. Whatever it is, the most successful people in the world value time. And if you're letting, and I'm gonna say it again because it's so important, if you're letting negative people dictate what you do with your time, you need to cut it out asap. And it goes down to anything in your life. If you're following people on social media that are spreading negativity, that are just spreading bs, unfollow them, right? There's a fine line between Instagram relationships and real life relationships. You can unfollow someone on Instagram and the algorithm will, will literally not show you any of their content anymore, right? Do that in real life, cut someone out, don't put yourself around them, and therefore you will not experience the mentality of them. Because the truth is, if you're motivated, you're surrounding yourself with motivated people. The chances are if you are wealthy, you have wealthy friends. The chances are if you surround yourself with a bunch of people that are involved on social media, chances are that you're going to start to build a social media following. If you hang around a bunch of druggies and people that get lit every single day, chances are you're going to be the same type of person. Chances are if you hang around with five broke people, chances are you're going to be the sixth, right? And that's just the bitter truth. And if you don't believe me, go ask some of the most successful people about that because that's what I've done. I've interviewed, like I said, some of the most world class people. And this is the accumulation of, of everything I've learned, which is this podcast. And it just, it really gets me pissed sometimes. Cause I'm like, wow, like all this information in the world, in this industry of entrepreneurship and some people just are not aware of it. That's why I spend so much time and energy just living and recording content and posting these podcasts. Cause I want you to share this with a friend. Because it only takes 1, 1 person to make a difference. It only takes you sharing this one podcast with someone who's negative, that's down, that's surrounding themselves with bad people. They listen to this show and take it to heart. Their life will change and it becomes the Butterfly Effect. I remember I was 16 years old, I saw a Tai Lopez ad at the time. I'm doing nothing on social media, I'm not making any money. I'm about to go get a job at a pizza place. And then Tai Lopez comes up in my Instagram feed and he says, hey, do you want to know about the good life, health, wealth, love and happiness? I'm like, yeah, you know, why not get involved in this content? I dive all in. I Start following Gary Vaynerchuk, I start learning about personal branding. I start following Andy Frisella, I start changing my habits, I start changing my mental discipline. And boom, three years later, I've moved across the country, I've surrounded myself with some of the most amazing people in the world, spoken all over the US about personal branding, and worked with so many different companies. And I've done this while impacting millions of people all over the world. And the only thing that changed and switched my mind was I saw a damn ad on Instagram or YouTube of Tai Lopez saying, do you want to have the good life? Understand that this is the butterfly effect. Understand that the energy you give to people is the energy you receive. And if you are sitting at home right now, I need you to analyze your habits. What are you doing every day? Are you consistent? Like literally the podcast before this, go listen to it. How to be consistent. I talk about consistency because there's the quote I would rather. I'm more afraid of the individual that practices a punch once a day for a thousand day than the person that practices a thousand punches in one day. Understand that. Who would you be more afraid of? The person that practices a thousand punches in one day or the person who practices one punch over a thousand days? I think we both know the answer to that. And it's the same thing in business. If you're doing a thousand podcasts in a day or one podcast a day for a thousand days, who do you think is going to develop more relationships? Who do you think is going to get more content quality? Who do you think will be long term in this industry? The people who are consistent. And if you haven't heard the last podcast called how to be Consistent, go check it out. Because I talk about the power of consistency. I talk about the power of just something that will truly change your life, which is doing something every single day. Like this podcast. I'm the most consistent with it than I've ever been. Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday is a new episode. I'm about to be in China next week and there will be a podcast going out every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. And that's the truth. Consistency. Follow the steps, brother. Literally, I'm so amped right now. I've had two cups of coffee today and literally my mind is going crazy. Because I just want you to be aware of what you're not aware of. And that is the people in your life dictate your emotions. The emotions dictate your actions. Your actions dictate your results. And your results, they equal. Your success in whatever avenue of life, whether that's reading 10 pages a day or making $10 million a year, whatever it is, understand your actions and the people you're around and the people you surround yourself with, they will dictate who you become. And if you want to become someone of success, if you want to become someone of influence, surround yourself with people that have influence. Surround yourself with people that have success. And chances are that will feed off on you. And I'm sorry if you think I'm being repetitive, and I'm purposely doing that because I really want you to just take this all in as soon as this podcast ends, because I'm about to wrap it up. Truly think. Think about this. Are you where you want to be in life? Think about it. Chances are no. And if you said yes, then I feel sorry for you. Because you have so much life to live. You have so much more to do. And if you're not aware of that, please make this your reminder. You have your own story. You have your own goals. You have your own vision of success. And you need to let it out there in the world. You need to strive for more. And think about it. Are you where you want to be? Chances are you're not. You could have more money, you could be more happy, you could travel more, you could get more experiences, you could meet more people, you could change more lives, all these different things. You could do more. And if you're choosing not to do more, that is a reflection of you, because that means you don't believe you could do more. Set your standards higher, execute on things that will drive you forward. And if you can do that, I guarantee you, you will live a life of purpose, of drive, of passion, of happiness. And you will truly become the person you want to become. And I'm learning every single day. I know I have so much more to do. I know I have so many more people to inspire. I know I have so many more goals to hit. I'm only 18 years old. I graduated high school a year ago. What do I have to say? I'm just aware of the mentality it takes to become successful, and I want you to be aware of it, too. So, that being said, I'm gonna leave you with this today. Take a moment and think about who you want to become. Write it down. And if you can do that, you will move one step further in the right direction. If you can do that every single day, you will continue to move in the right direction. So, that being said, thank you so much for listening to Today's episode of Rise of the Young leave a rating and a review. Let's get to 500 reviews, baby. Go follow me on Instagram aceadams1.
