We didn't bring Built to Lead in here until 2011. I was on maternity leave when that came in. And when I came back, this whole office had changed.
What we're going to do is we're going to practice being curious.
What it had done in three months is pretty impressive. People were working on themselves in a way I hadn't seen before. I was shocked that you said they offered 20.
When I met Chet in 2010, he.
Came in to make me better and helped me see things that I couldn't see. And there were a lot of things I couldn't see.
I remember sitting in the very first practice with Chad in my group. I remember he looked at me and he's like, so are you sleepwalking through life? And I thought, oh, God, plug into.
Him, not turn him down or shut him up.
Most people are sleepwalking through life and they've been sleepwalking for a long time. You come into Botolitin practice, you're going to be awakened. What's the key to becoming exceptional as an individual? Well, it's figuring out, like, who are you? What are your unique abilities? Why are you here? What are the names you call yourself?
Great teams, championship teams don't become great unless they take time to get tired together.
Practice, Practice starts with you writing where you want to go today.
Have you thought deeply about what you believe? What are your bolt and unbeliefs? And do you challenge them, write them out, rinse them, keep rinsing until you get a worldview that you go, there it is. These are my bolted on beliefs.
Now I'm printing out my worldview and showing it to my daughter and saying, work on yours.
Every practice, every time we're sitting around tables and we're building with each other, we put bricks, brick, brick, brick, brick, brick. And then all of a sudden we've got this house that's this wall that's there and it's really hard to break down that wall.
It builds relationships in a way that I don't think I could ever replicate. I'm transformed. I will not be able to work anywhere else.
It.
