Day 103: Adjust your mirrors...

Short YouTube video conversation (Day 103) featuring Chad Silverstein and another speaker about leadership, self-reflection, and the importance of seeking candid feedback. The speakers emphasize pausing before decisions, adjusting one’s perspective (‘adjust your mirrors’), and finding trusted mentors or truth-tellers to illuminate blind spots and enable better decision-making.

Day 103 is probably like for me. It's the biggest win for me with build to lead as a client and.
Having someone be able to illuminate my blind spots. This is why we say you can't do it by yourself. Because we are so limited by our.
You know, perception of everything, people, situations. We're so emotionally driven to react to.
What happens to us throughout the day.
And in the big picture that it's hard for us to sometimes see any other path, any other way. And the fact is, there's always another way of looking at something. And our job as a leader is.
To kind of flip it inside out, upside down and look at it from all the different angles.
Before we judge a situation, before we take action and make a decision, you reflect and then you act. And being able to adjust your mirrors creates a situation where you can build.
In a little bit of a pause.
A break, so that you can think, talk to someone, get the perspective that.
You weren't thinking so that you can.
Then adjust and then react.
And too many times we're just so.
Quick to react that we get ourselves.
In a lot of trouble.
And if we just had a little bit of patience to just slow down and not go so fast and to.
Have a truth teller hit us over the head with a different perspective that.
Even if we're too stubborn to hear, maybe it'll sink in and you sleep on it. But building in the discipline to ask people for feedback, have a few people.
In your life that will hit you.
With something that you know comes from.
A good place, but it's going to be something that's going to hurt, and it's a truth that you need to.
Hear and being able to pivot and. And be a little bit of flex.
Have some flexibility into how you're making decisions on a daily basis. Because we make a lot of decisions.
And a lot of them have a lot of consequences.
And there's just nothing more powerful than.
Being able to kind of just put a pause, put a break into whatever it is you're doing before you make.
That decision that's going to have that ripple.
Adjust those mirrors, put in some guardrails if you need to, and then keep moving forward, not letting it stop you in your tracks.
You're blessed if you have a truth.
Teller, and if you don't, seek it out, seek it out.
Go find someone.
It is probably the most valuable thing you can do for free of all the personal, professional growth tactics and strategies. It's having a couple people, mentors, someone who will help you see things from a different light. It's magic and it's life changing, for sure.
It's why our tagline at Built Elite.
Is, together we transform because we do.
It for clients, and clients do it for us.
So find someone and adjust your mirrors.
