Some people have it in them to be very creative with their work. And it does require you, if you're going to be a high performer, to, like, think outside the box and get used to figuring out which disciplines are going to be sticky and just kind of keep going through those motions because they work. And you want to compound that, sustaining your performance over time. But then also, you know, inject different things to keep things spiced up a little bit so you have some fun. And you have to find creative ways to do that. We used to do this in our office with contests. I would always inject contests and have a lot of fun and just do a lot of cool, crazy things for my team to get them excited about what they were doing while they were doing it, incentivizing them and, you know, having fun and trying different things. You can imagine having contests at a company. You know, it can get old because if you run the same contests, you know, people can get sick of them and they don't accomplish what you're trying to set out to do with them. So having to get creative has never been more easier today than ever before. Because you have ChatGPT, you can literally ask for a hundred ideas on how to do everything just by a prompt on the computer. So what you can do today that people in the course of history have never been able to do, the fact that, like, people aren't using this technology yet to me, is just absolutely mind blowing. You could literally transcribe yourself talking about your position, everything you do. You could talk about your responsibilities, and you could then throw that into a chat gbt and just ask it. Give me 10 ways to make my job more fun. Give me 5 strategies to increase my performance. You know, what are some things that would be outside the box thinking that no one else would think about or that high performers probably do that I'm not doing. And the amount of information that will be coming back to you will give you enough that you won't know what to do with all of it. So you could pick one and have fun and try something different and use your space, wherever that is, in your job, whether because you work at home or whether it's because of your schedule, or whether it's because of the fact that you're given autonomy to work on a project, whatever it is, or if you're on a team, to figure out ways to have fun with your team. But try different things, try different disciplines. I used to always be very adamant about having disciplines that I was always working on. And if one didn't stick. I. I replaced it. I didn't want to feel like a burden, and I would try a different one, and they were always small, easy, and things that I knew I could accomplish because I didn't want to take on a lot, and I didn't want to add more work to my. To my workload. So having fun and being creative, though, it's really important to inject that in your job so that you like what you do and also that you're successful and having fun doing it. And so embracing when you're kind of in an idle mode and things have been stuck and remembering you're on a plateau and there could be a burst coming very soon if you're doing the hard work and you're, you know, you're not just going through the motions and then finding different ways to spice up your job to have fun, to make an impact, to do things different, and to think differently, you got to try different things. And so get creative. And if you feel like you're not the type of person that has the mind to be able to do that, then. Then use AI and. And have fun, you know, doing something that in the course of history has never been able to be used as a tool, and now you have that at your fingertips. It's incredible.
