Day 143: Grateful for Greece...

Chad Silverstein argues for taking calculated risks instead of endless baby steps. Stop delaying, put a stake in the ground, commit to try, accept failure, and learn from it. Be smart about it, not reckless, but act now instead of wondering what if.

I think there was one of the previous days where I talked about the baby steps. And then sometimes you got to take a leap. So I'm going to revisit that with this day, because, you know, he's being challenged. We're being challenged to attack. And so I want you to really think about somewhere, if it's easier to do it at work, do it at work. But something that you want to do that you've been holding off, something that, you know, you think you might be ready for, but you're not 100% sure, take a chance, go after something. If you never do that, then you're not able to live a life worth living. Being able to go after something with all your heart and just put a stake in the ground and say, I'm going to do it, and I'm not going to worry what people say. I'm not going to worry about if it doesn't work, if I don't get what I want. But you'll never know unless you try. And sometimes you just need a kick in the ass to go. So let this serve as your trigger to be challenged to just go do something that you've wanted to do that you haven't done. And if that means taking a leap, then once in a while, you got to go take a leap. And you got to be okay with the fact that, you know, you may jump out the window and it may not. You may not land the way you want to land. That's. That's sometimes a risk you got to take. You want to be smart, you don't want to be stupid, but you don't want to live your whole life, you know, wondering what would happen if you would have been able to take that leap. And so I think being a little bit calculated with it is important. You don't want to be reckless, but I think you want to take a chance. So kind of think about, where can you leap what bucket of your life? Can you just say, you know what? I can do this, and just believe in yourself and go, try it, do it, learn from it, and see what happens.
