It's funny, there's a really big difference.
Between motivating your team and growing with your team. You know, I had the pleasure of.
Having people on my team work with me for 5, 10, 15, 20 years.
And there were definitely transformations where the together summed it up perfectly and motivation.
Only lasts so long. I had the Dale Carnegie organization come into my company and everybody graduated and.
It was very motivating and it worked.
It was awesome. We did an after hours class for about 10 weeks and I had a lot of people take to it and they were really good at a lot of the things that they learned and then sustaining that throughout their employment with me. But nothing was like built to lead practice. Nothing was like built to lead practice. Over 350 practices with my team and being with them, playing seven good minutes.
Doing the bomb shelter exercise, you know.
Learned optimism, finding flow van fights, playing chairman of the board.
Writing letters to.
Each other, sharing, getting feedback on the.
Opus and the whip your 3Ps and.
Searing people with, showing people how to get things done.
Whether it was planking for 10 minutes.
Getting up on the pull up bar and cranking them out.
You know, I think there is something.
To be said about being with your team and connecting with them on a deeper level outside of work. Even if you're at work and when you do that, you have people who.
Are, they're committed to do anything for you. And I think it's because if they.
See that you're willing to do anything.
For them, that creates a different type.
Of a relationship, sometimes not always so genuine.
But a lot of times you will find that some of the most special relationships come from that way of leading.
And if you're a leader who cares enough about the people around you and you put the time in to spend time with them and not just with them for the sake of work, you will find that you will have people who are committed. Not everybody, but you'll have more than a few.
And I think if you ask the.
Built to lead clients who practice with their teams about what that feels like, it's pretty cool. So hopefully you've been blessed to taste that or be part of it.
