Chad Silverstein describes a "coalition" as a tightly-knit, high-trust team where people have the tools they need, work in roles matching their abilities, and form deep relationships. He credits Restart with defining this identity and encourages listeners to join or build one.

So in this day, Chet mentions my dream of building a self sustaining system. It says, and it was my goal was to build a self managing company that I could have the company running. I can wake up every day knowing that everybody's got the tools and the resources that they need. I put the best people in place with the unique ability of whatever the job requires and I've got them building, working with each other to provide an incredible service and love working with each other and accomplishing great things together. And you know, we would define that as a coalition and we got tired with each other. We did things with each other that normal teams would not do. We addressed things that most teams will never address and it built something really cool and really special. And I think that's why I had people say that it was the best place they ever worked. And it was a collection agency. Not easy, but, but I always say that it doesn't matter what you do, it matters how you do it. And you know, I'd say again, you know, it was our other company, Restart, that defined who we were. And I think when people change their mindset and they realize what they're a part of and that they could do it with other like minded individuals that they, they really care for and they built incredible deep relationships with, you know, you're building a crazy team that, that can do some amazing things and thank God we were able to do that. So hopefully you're part of a coalition. If you're not, you should try to search for one or start building one.
