A short spoken reflection by Chad Silverstein (from a YouTube video) on the concept he learned called “poison in wine,” taken from a song. He explains the duality of life — good and bad coexist — and encourages listeners to listen to the song and reflect on how this idea appears in their lives.

So something stuck out when I was reading. I was reading day 67 and is when Chet made his comment about bookends. I remember a bookend he taught me that I just want to share with you. He called it poison in wine. Because everything in life is poison in wine. He got that from a song. I'm gonna put the song in here for you so you can stop, slow down and just listen to it. Listen to the words, the lyrics, and the melody line is that everything in life is poison and wine. You know, with. With all the good, there might be something bad. And when something's really hard, there's something maybe good can come out of it. And being able to recognize that it's not always going to be so good. It's not. And when things seem really bad, it's not always going to be so bad. Life is full of just poison and wine. So enjoy the song and see where it shows up in your life. It's just a reality. It's a truth. It's something you have to accept. And it's just a powerful reminder for me as I read through today's day, today's discipline, and hopefully it'll be for you. So go ahead and take a listen.
