Day 71: Toto...

Chad Silverstein reminds builders that mentors and community matter, your why has to be clear enough to move you, and comfort is the real enemy. Treat this as practice, not passive watching. Show your work.

Reading day 71 is a good reminder for me as I do these melody lines and share over my experiences and talk about share things that hopefully will make you understand and relate to the Build Sleep framework and process a little bit better as you kind of go through your own builder's journey. It's important to have builders in your life. It's important to have mentors in your life. Whether you're paying for a coach, whether you're using a community, whether you have someone that you can lean on, you got to have someone. You can't go about it alone. And you're blessed if you have a few of them. Make sure you have one. And remember there's a why behind it. The why is so that you can move. The why is so that you can actually do something and rise up and do more than what you think you can do, more than you think you're capable of doing. You know, our goal, Build to Lead is to try to be that irritant for you, to keep reminding you, to keep writing, to get that clarity, to throw that rock out there and know what your opus is and to get more clear on your worldview and clear on who you are and how you want to live and have fun. You know, kind of spending some time with some of the things that you love, creating these strategies so that you can, you know, make sure that everything you're doing is aligned and you're going in the right direction. All this is nonsense. If you're just reading through the book, if you're just listening to this and feeling like you get some good nuggets out of it, and you have, you got to do something about it, and you got to be able to address whatever's hard that you've been hiding from. And if that means making a decision, if that means pulling the trigger, you know, the worst kind of situation to be in is when you don't have to do something and you're comfortable and recognizing that sitting in that comfort zone is something that you will regret. And I'm not saying you always got to be challenged, but it's a. It's a much better place to be in than to be lazy and never be challenged and to conform to everything that's happening around you. So just remember, today's reminder is that this is for you. You're doing this for you. You're investing in you, and make sure you're doing something with it. Make sure you're not just wasting your time. It's not an entertainment. This is a program. And you're getting a piece of it. And what you do with that will determine if you actually get anything out of it. And you might as well. So remember, this is for you. Do something. Show your work. Share your work and keep getting better. Keep building, keep writing.
