Chad Silverstein defines success as chasing a big dream while accepting you can't control the outcome. He shares stories from selling a company and running a collection agency to show how visions shift, then walks through writing a fuzzy vision paragraph and letting it evolve as you go.

The way I define success is when someone can aim at a big dream, working their way towards it, whether you accomplish it or not, first off, isn't in your control. And second of all, you're going to see things along the way that are going to make you pivot and you're going to see you throw the rock out and you start climbing. And then you realize, oop, I got to shift. And you shift. It could be anything for me personally. I sold my company and I completely shifted and I went through probably hundreds of rinses and I owned a collection agency, and that was not a big dream of mine. I found my big dream within what I was doing. It is possible, and I've seen so many people do it. And that's what you're being challenged to do, is to write out your big, big O in your opus, which is your vision should be a little fuzzy. It's usually a paragraph and it usually sucks when you first start writing something like that. But you just have to keep at it. Dream big. Just have fun thinking about what you would love to do if you could. Then we'll get busy working towards it or a version of it, and you'll feel good about it because you let yourself go and didn't stop yourself by telling yourself you couldn't do something.
