A short YouTube talk by Chad Silverstein advising entrepreneurs to stop doing everything themselves, recruit and develop better people, and deliberately create multiple layers of leadership so the company can operate as a self-managed system without the founder. Key themes: delegation, hiring/upgrading people, and building leaders who build other leaders.

For any leader that is in the daily grind and they're doing everything at their office, they've got a company and they're just stuck doing everything. It's because you don't have better people around you and you get the team that you deserve and you got to be able to pull the trigger and have some acute pain and rip the band aid off and get out of your current role so that you can find someone who can do it better and then you can elevate as you delegate different things off your plate. And if you're trying to do everything, there's no way for you to grow your system. And if you're not taking care of your people, you're going to lose your people. So we've always said that the best sign of a great leader is someone who can build other leaders, who can build other leaders. When you've got a couple different layers of leadership in your company that you've built and you're helping these individuals lead other leaders and those leaders can then build other leaders underneath them. You're building a system that can sustain over time without you. And there's nothing better as an entrepreneur than building a self managed system where you can walk away and go do something else that you love and come back in if you love what you're doing.
