One of the most undervalued skills of a leader and an entrepreneur is their emotional intelligence, their ability to empathize, their ability to not only see themselves for who they are but to then to discover and learn and build trust with the people that they work with and to know what incentivize them, what triggers them. And you only focus outward after you've done the hard work inward. You got to know that stuff about yourself before you start trying to fix or build up other people. And if you want to have any influence on people that you're working with all you have to do is show them that you're doing the hard work. You're doing the hard work. You're going to model the way and there's something very attractive about that when you see leaders doing that that makes and incentivizes and inspires you to want to be part of that and it's lacking right now. And so you have a rare opportunity to inject it into your cult starts with you.
