Chad Silverstein delivers a short motivational message using an hourglass metaphor: the sand at the bottom represents the past while the sand remaining on top represents time left. He urges listeners not to dwell on past hardships because time is limited and undefeated, and to focus on present actions and future goals instead.

I recently heard someone share a quick story. And they were holding up an hourglass, and the hourglass had sand that was kind of slowly going down to the bottom. They were explaining that everything on the bottom of the hourglass are things that have happened in the past, all the things that have happened to you, all the good, all the bad, all the hard stuff, but it's the past. And everything that's still on the top, all the sand that's still sitting on the top, are all the things that you have left. It's the time that you have left. And everybody's hourglass is decreasing, never stops. Time is undefeated. It doesn't make sense to waste time thinking about the past. Bang on it, over and over and over. Just because you went through something hard, it doesn't define who you're gonna be. If you wanna change all the things that you want in your life, you've got time left. And the time that you have left has to be spent focused on the present moment and what you can do today and where you wanna go.
