In this introductory video, the speaker shares his personal journey from early high‑achievement (partner at a top London law firm by 32) through a near‑death crisis that sparked a profound shift in his worldview. He explains that the conventional pursuit of status, destiny, and happiness is a “fool’s errand” and instead proposes a six‑point framework for "being more". The first three points are recognitions that chasing status, believing in a pre‑ordained destiny, and chasing happiness are illusory and do not resolve the underlying fear of not being enough. The second three points are practices: deeper connection with one’s own mind‑body‑spirit, authentic human connection, and a profound relationship with the mystery of the universe. He stresses that embodying these principles requires disciplined daily work and is not for the faint‑hearted, but invites viewers who have already achieved material success yet feel exhausted to join a deeper, more compassionate, and creative way of showing up in the world. The video ends with an invitation to continue the conversation, possibly in person, to co‑create insights that enable both participants to "be more" and impact the world.

Hi, I just want to talk to you a little bit about being more. Maybe you've already checked out my LinkedIn bio or you've read the About Me stuff on my site and you notice that through my adventure and the way it's unfolded these last few years, I've learned to do less and be more. But what does that actually mean? Is it just me and my metaphysical or physical mumbo-jumbo, or is it something more tangible than that? Something concrete, more practical even? Well, yeah, it is. It's a way of showing up, of bringing more of you to the present moment, of unlocking more possibility, of unleashing more creativity and connectedness. Enabling you to be more compassionate and to make more of a difference in the world. It's definitely a place of profound strength, and it certainly released me from the hustle and from constantly striving to do more. Because being able to do more than others, to persevere, to press on in the face of crazy odds, to endure might be what you believe got you where you are now. Certainly that's what I thought for me for such a long time, and that's great. But there is another way, a less exhausting way— being more. Hope you don't mind me drinking coffee. You see, from the age of 16, I found myself always doing more, achieving more, outperforming, outpacing, Everybody around me. You see, I made partner at a preeminent London law firm by the time I was 32, before pausing to sort of reevaluate what mattered most in my life. You know, I briefly flirted with purpose-driven leadership coaching, only to then continue trying to find peace from that relentless inner critic that wouldn't leave me alone by again falling into that pattern of, you guessed it, doing More, trying to help more people, taking on larger and more significant roles. That was until the day I fell over. And that day wasn't a natural pause. It was potentially a full stop as I nearly ended my life. Now, as self-destructive as that sounds, it triggered an awakening in me that, that completely shifted my thinking, totally transformed my relationships, and at the same time released me from the suffering that had pushed me to that insane point. You see, the day I almost ended my life was the day my life started again. And on that day, there were 6 things that that moment taught me. 6 things that now form the foundation for being more. Now, I'm going to split them into 2 sets of 3. The first 3 were essentially a recognition that: 1, chasing stuff and status is a fool's errand. 2, stepping into my destiny is a delusion. And 3, That the pursuit of happiness is a false horizon. Now, don't misunderstand me or get me wrong here. These things inherently, there's nothing wrong in and of themselves with them. But what I found, even though I knew them intellectually, what I found was that they will never truly excise, get rid of, destroy, overcome that fear of not being enough. You know, the fear, whether you or I admit it to ourselves, is the thing that drives most of us who are crazy enough to think we can change the world. That fear of not being enough. Those things are not going to help you find that, answer that, respond to that. But you are enough. I am enough. In fact, you are more than enough. So, so much more than enough. And it was the second 3 things that I began learning on that day that helped me discover this deep knowing, a knowing that I had craved all my life. And these second 3 things are that I needed to connect more deeply with the magnificence of who I really was. Mind, body, and spirit. Secondly, I needed to connect more authentically with others, exploring that magic of human connection. And thirdly, lastly, I needed to connect more profoundly with the incredible mystery of my place in the universe. Now, far more than just abstract thoughts, these 6— at least I think there's 6 things— offer us an opportunity for deep work. Work that, I won't lie to you, demands discipline and asks more of us in daily practice than many are willing to give. You see, being more It's not for the faint-hearted. But if you're here watching this, I guess you already know that and you're already on your way. Because I suspect you're someone who's already accomplished more than enough to have covered the basics in life. But you're humble enough and curious enough to be seeking something more. Maybe you're You're hungry for a deeper connection with mystery, but you're just not willing to check your common sense or your own critical judgment at the door. It is possible that you won't admit it to many people that you're exhausted by the struggle for success, but you're equally suspicious of gurus and the sages of self-development. And yes, I I am aware that me talking about this stuff in a video like this is a potential irony. But maybe, just maybe, you're exactly where you're meant to be in this moment. Maybe you and I were meant to connect for this exact reason. Maybe it's time to explore being more. So if so, I'd love to continue this conversation with you. Less of me talking and more of us actually speaking. I want to have an interesting and inspiring conversation with you. A deep conversation, but one that's fun, but no doubt fascinating. Possibly even in person. You see, I'd love to create a space for us where we both might discover insights about ourselves and leave Changed by the very fact that we had a conversation, changed in a way to become even better equipped to change the world through being more. What do you say?
