Chase Fisher argues that emotional reasons, not logical ones, drive people to push through hard work. He contrasts buying a Lamborghini with retiring your mom, saying the second one actually makes you move. Find your emotional why and you'll follow through.

Operate with logic, you operate with emotion. So when the going gets rough, if your logical motivator is that you need to buy a Lamborghini, you're gonna fucking quit. Your motivator is emotional, like, I need to retire my mom. You're gonna be able to push through anything because you already told your mom you're gonna retire her. So think about this. If you told somebody the exact blueprint on how to make $100,000 and said it was gonna make them that $100,000 and they could buy a Lambo, they would not do it. It would have literally no effect on them because that's a logical based motivator. If you said, do this so you can retire your mom, so you can give your family a better life, so things that have an emotional appeal to them, you'll actually be able to get through to them. Because humans do not operate on a logic based thinking pattern. They operate emotionally. Moral of the story. Figure out what your why is, but make it emotional. Figure out what actually makes you. It's not the Lambo.
