Chase Fisher (Faceless Wealth) gives short-form instructional advice about using bottom-of-funnel affiliate videos on TikTok Shop. He argues BoFu selling only converts well when products already have top-of-funnel/viral awareness or established brand recognition (e.g., Nike), and recommends affiliates target products with active viral/top-of-funnel traffic so their BoFu videos can capture already-interested shoppers.

I love bottom of funnel. I use this method for viral products. Viral is the key word here. If you start doing bottom of funnel which is selling the sale on no name products, it will not work or you'd have to get very lucky for it to work. This is because bottom of funnel is the end of the funnel. People already have to know about the product. They have to have seen it many times for bottom of funnel to work and for it to work well. The only time really when it can work super well is if the company has a ton of brand awareness outside TikTok shop. Like if Nike had came on the TikTok shop, do you think you'd have to wait for them to get sales for you to be able to just sell the sale? No, because everyone already knows about them. If you're going to do bottom of, sure. The products that you're using at least have some top of funnel traffic before. Ideally you want them to have top of funnel traffic AKA viral videos right now. Because when there's viral videos happening for that product, those people that clicked on the product link in the viral videos are going to get redirected to your bottom of funnel videos and your bottom of funnel videos are going to make you a lot of money.
