So this is multimillionaire Gary Vee, who's built multiple successful businesses, which should make him credible enough for people to believe what he said, right? Well, not exactly. Back in the day, the main way most businesses were getting the majority of their traffic was through Facebook ads. Aspiring business owners would spend money on ads, and then customers would come through these ads and buy their products. But the problem with Facebook ads is that there are so many scammers, and so people don't know who to trust. And this is when Gary Vee realized, sure, I can spend money on Facebook ads to make more money in my business, but there's so much competition in doing this that there has to be some sort of way to stand out. While he realized that he could sell customers through Facebook ads and pay Facebook for every single customer, he realized that even though QVC had fallen off in popularity, this was the one way to gain back people's trust. Because when you're on a livestream, you can answer questions live and prove that you're a real human and not an AI scam. And be able to acquire customers without having to pay Facebook every single time. And with livestreams, traffic is organic, meaning he doesn't have to pay to get people to watch these livestreams. He even admitted that after all the different ways that he said you could make millions of dollars, that TikTok Shop livestreaming was the number one thing. Like now when you scroll on TikTok Shop, you see lives like this every single day. But nearly 2 decades ago when Gary Vee called this out, nobody listened to him. And Gary Vee was right. His businesses now make millions of dollars every single year from doing livestreams because he got on it before everybody else. And while everybody else was sleeping on livestreams and TikTok Shop, by 17 years old, I was spending 8 hours a day selling Spin Scrubbers on livestream.
