A short motivational monologue by Chase Fisher urging listeners to stop keeping every option open and instead commit to a single path. Fisher argues that closing options and taking risks causes short-term loss and hardship but is the only way to make long-term progress and become something meaningful; indecision lets less-qualified others succeed.

I really hope you don't spend your entire life trying to be all these different things for all these different people and then end up being nothing for yourself. Everybody likes to feel really good because they have all these different options. They can start that business, they can go to that job, they can do the school. Because if you keep all those options open, you will never make progress in one of them. Because the funny thing about making decisions and taking risks is that in the short term, it actually takes away a lot of the opportunity that you can have. You can no longer have all these options open. You can only do one thing, and that kind of sucks for a little bit, and it's not going to go exactly as you planned. It's going to be hard. But even though it takes away opportunity in the short term, in the long run, this is literally, literally the only possible way to create and become anything. And if you're not willing to close off your options to just choose one of them, somebody else who's probably less qualified and less good at whatever you do, probably is. So don't sabotage yourself by trying to keep everything open and everything possible. Just pick one and actually do it.
