Chase Fisher uses a fortune cookie slip outside Panda Express to argue that belief shapes outcomes. He says you can choose your fortune the same way you'd choose to find a friend or earn a million dollars in a year, if you actually commit to it.
So I'm outside Panda Express right now. I just opened my fortune cookie and they literally gave me half a fortune, you know. I was expecting it to say something like, oh, you're gonna find a lover or a best friend or something, but realistically looking at this, and even though it's like only half, I get to choose my own shit. I mean, it's just like life and the same thing where if you believe you can do something, it can happen. If I believed I was gonna find a new close friend like it said on my fortune, I probably would find one. This is the same thing, like if I believe I want to make a million dollars this year, I'm gonna make a fucking million dollars. I mean, that's just how it is. Choose your own fortune and get after it, and I mean, what's stopping you?
