Chase Fisher walks through a goal-setting exercise: write a letter from 10 years in the future listing everything you want, then read it daily. He credits this process with making six figures and says it forces you to either upgrade your actions or downgrade your goals.

All these gurus just want to tell you, oh, be consistent. You'll have everything you've ever wanted in 90 days. But if you're still not being consistent, I will show you exactly why you can't get yourself to do the things that you want to do. Just grab a pen and paper, write a letter dated to a friend 10 years in the future and just write out every single thing that you could possibly want to happen. Don't think about how you're going to do it, just write it down. Once you write it down, the first thing you're going to get is clarity. You're going to need to know, you're going to know what you need to do on a day to day basis to actually go out and fulfill that vision. The second thing that needs to happen is that you need to read this vision morning, noon and night. What's going to happen when you do this is that you're going to start to conceptualize it. You're going to be like, oh, maybe this isn't just, you know, my vision, this is selling it to reality. Like I wrote down I wanted a Porsche, now I have a Porsche and I'm 18. So you're going to write down that vision. And once you write down that vision, you're going to have to ask yourself one question. Do I upgrade my actions or do I downgrade my goal? And if you can choose to upgrade your actions to the level of that vision that you set, you will never be poor again. This is true obsession and this is a do or die commitment. But most people just choose the other one and then they're never successful. But if you can actually take the 15 minutes to write out that vision and actually think big and be ambitious with it, I'm telling you will literally never look at life the same. And you'll have real clarity on what you need to do so you can actually be consistent and go out and achieve your goals.
