At the end of the book, this group of murderers shows up to this girl school and says, okay, split up Hutus and Tutsis. And they say, you we're Rwandan. So instead of just killing one or the other, they kill all of them. That sounds heroic to say, but they were doing it for their own dignity. There wasn't anybody watching. There wasn't anybody there. So you have that element, too, of this sense of you have these people betraying a sort of human decency, a human morality, for nothing, and then you have these other people standing up for themselves also for nothing.
