Anastasia Narinskiy grew up poor at a private school where she felt like an outsider, and Harry Potter became her escape. She built a homemade tree house to retreat into an imaginary world, finding solace in the books after moving to a new country.
Your book that changed your life is Harry Potter.
We moved to this country, we're super poor. I'm such an outcast at my school because, you know, again, kids are mean. We don't have any money. We go to a private school with a bunch of kids who have a lot of money. My brothers didn't want to play with me, so I'd go off and, like, make up my own adventures in this, like, tree house that I made in the backyard.
Okay, so then the big question is.
Yeah.
How did the Harry Potter books change your life? What effect is it having on an 11 or 12 year old?
Okay.
