So our guest today is Mike Drucker. We are here today to talk about the book that changed his life, convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata.
Yep. There's always this pressure to be a certain way, which I know we all talk about. But being a certain way isn't just being rich and successful. It's, well, you're supposed to get married and have kids, but if you don't do that, you're supposed to get married and have a good life. And if you don't do that, you're supposed to be single but, like, living big. But if you don't do that, like, you have to have these markers for people to consider you normal or to not consider you being held behind.
Do you think that that tension and that expectation from society is the cause of a lot of unhappiness and anxiety?
