Books That Changed My Life: Mike Drucker & Convenience Store Woman Pt.3

I wasn't super close with my dad as a kid. My sister often watched us while my parents worked late, sometimes overnight shifts. And one night when my sister was watching us, she, you know, almost like a movie, invited some friends over. Who invited some friends over. Who invited some friends over. And all of these people came into this house, and they literally, like, when I say, robbed the place, it was almost like people were just picking things up and leaving. So they walked off with a ton of our video games. You know, as a little kid, I was so inconsolable, and my dad took me, and we went from, like, store to store, and he would talk to the manager and kind of be like, this is what happened. I'm trying to do this for my son. And I know, you know, he's a proud dude. I know that's hard for him. So as much as we've had conflicts in our life, it was one of the greatest moments of my childhood with my dad.
