Chris Collins reflects on reading Invisible Man and what he hopes for his daughter's future. He wants a world where children aren't judged or feared because of how they look.
You know, we talk about, like, what I. What I want for my daughter as she grows up thinking about that. I want her to. To live in a world where she's not afraid. Where she's not afraid that somebody that looks different from her is gonna think about her in a particular way or feel that they can validate some form of behavior towards her because of the way she looks, you know? Yeah. And just judge and write her off. Judge and write her off. And not only just judge, but then go out and act on that judgment. You know, that's the world that I'm saying. No child deserves to be projected on in that way, and we do not. We are failing the future, our future generations, if we allow that to happen.
