A short segment of a YouTube interview in which two speakers exchange personal stories about formative musical and religious experiences—one recounting a powerful childhood concert in a Baptist church and another noting early vocal discovery—and then pivot to ask how Frank Herbert's novel Dune changed the interviewee's life.
This time on books. That changed my life. My first concert. Five years old, in a Baptist church in Bremerton, Washington. Andre Crouch.
What?
I watched him take a room, pick them up, throw him against the wall, grab him again.
You could have been the atheist of most atheists.
There was nobody escaping that feeling.
When I was nine years old, I realized if I use my voice a certain way, my voice is affecting these people's emotions. Look at. Look at this. This already turned into a damn therapy session.
So, big question. How did Dune by Frank Herbert change your life?
Dune made me.
