Chris Collins and a co-host explain why managers keep toxic high performers around: fear they can't replace them. Teams actually improve once these people leave. The fix is always recruiting and keeping a bench so no single person holds the team hostage.
I've never seen.
Somebody get rid of.
A toxic high performer.
And they in the long run, they did worse.
No. And the funny thing is, is don't, haven't you noticed they instantly, the team and themselves, they get better. Right. Because I think that the main reason people keep toxic performers, it's because they're managing out of fear that they couldn't possibly replace whatever it is. And they're not recruiting, so they don't.
Understand what else is out there. They haven't invested any equity into having a bench.
