In this informal YouTube segment, the host (Speaker A) introduces a playful "F, Marry, Kill" game adapted for books, presenting three titles: Patti Smith's A Book of Days, Albert Camus's The Myth of Sisyphus (first edition), and a unique handmade pop‑up book called Plunge by Chrisato Tamabayashi. Speaker B, likely Gavin Rossdale, is asked to decide which book he would have a one‑night stand with (read once), which he would keep (marry), and which he would discard (kill). The conversation includes a brief backstory about acquiring the one‑of‑a‑kind pop‑up book from a London specialist, remarks on the tactile nature of pop‑up books, and light‑hearted banter about the choices. Ultimately, Speaker B selects Patti Smith’s A Book of Days for a one‑night stand, Camus’s The Myth of Sisyphus to throw out the window, and the handmade Plunge as the book he would "marry" and keep forever. The segment ends with thanks and a note that the game was fun.

Have you ever played F, Marry, Kill?
Nope.
So F, Marry, Kill is like, I would pick 3 women, so you'd have a one-night stand with one, you would marry one, and you would kill one. Wow. Does that make sense? It's a very hard thing to figure out, especially if you—
thank you for asking that. I appreciate you asking me that on camera as well.
Yeah. So we're going to play F, Marry, Kill with books.
Okay.
So I have 3 books here, and so you have to have a one-night stand with one, which means you'd read it once. You're going to keep one, and then the other one you're going to throw out the window of the car going 80 miles an hour. Okay. Okay. The first one is A Book of Days by Patti Smith.
Oh, okay. So, uh, would that be Mary for An Interesting Life?
Don't you want to hear the other ones?
Yes. Sorry, I thought in each book I had to give you one.
No, no, no, you're going to choose between the three.
Oh, my bad.
Albert Camus, The Myth of Sisyphus. Bought that in London, actually. It's a first, first edition. And then this one, Le Trajet, is a one-of-a-kind handmade book that I, that I got in London by this guy that has a little bookstore that specializes in kind of special books. And I asked him, the owner— he's an older guy, probably in his 70s— I said, what's your favorite book in here? And he went, and he goes, whenever I'm blue I go to this book and he pulls it off and he goes, it just cheers me up. And actually when I, I said, oh, I wanna buy it. He didn't wanna sell it to me. So it's a one of a kind handmade book called Plunge by Chrisato Tamabayashi. And here, I'll take these two back and you can experience this book.
Oh, it's been some time since I had these pop-up books. Used to get them from my kids all the time. Then they get— 4 days later they'd be beaten up.
That one, you kind of hold it. Yeah.
Oh, that's amazing.
Isn't that beautiful?
It's a beautiful book.
So you have a book with no words, it's just an experience. You have a book with a lot of words.
That's the Mary one.
Then you have pictures and words. Which, which one do you marry? You're going to marry that one?
It's the marriage material.
Wow, that's, that's amazing. Okay, which one are you, are you gonna have a one-night stand with? You're just gonna read it once.
Well, you know, I love Patti Smith. I— this is, this is the new one, Book of Days. Yeah, Albert Camus, you know, Out the Window. Yeah, Out the Window. Patti, one night stand, marry.
Awesome. Well, thank you for doing this. That was fun.
