Hello! We are here at The Last Bookstore, and we're gonna ask some people about their favorite books. I haven't brushed my hair in days, so don't worry. What is your favorite book?
I always like to go with Great Gatsby, but I like The Sun Also Rises.
For a long time, my favorite book was The Giver, but I will say the book I'm currently reading is one of the most gripping books I've ever read. A Court of Mist and Fury, the second book in the Court of Thorns and Roses series. Finally found someone that I've read the same book as.
One of my favorite books is called Musicophilia. By Oliver Sacks. This particular book is about various brain abnormalities when it comes to music.
I would say One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez. The way he brings out the everyday details of life, but then he's also exploring Latin American politics and the dark side of history and where the continent comes from, the whole history of our hemisphere.
Hardcover or paperback?
I prefer paperback. What if you're just keeping it at home? Hardcover. Yeah. Yeah. But also paperback's cheaper.
Paperback. Paperback. Easier to travel.
Oh, hardcover for sure. They last longer. Come on.
Okay. Do you have any literary red flags?
Well, number one, if there's no books in the house or the apartment, that, that's a major red flag for me. But I think a true reader, uh, should have no limits. So if all I see in your shelf is self-help books, um, I don't know. I think there's kind of a problem there.
Maybe that's the only red flag is if somebody hasn't read any of their books.
I have a lot of literary green flags. Yeah, a lot of historical fiction. When I see anything musically related, I know that we have a conversation that we can have. Also anything that is like kind of ancient philosophy related. Ebooks or physical books?
