A short excerpt from a YouTube video in which a speaker responds to critics who tell them to 'just shut up and sing,' asserting that they are a citizen and person beyond their role as an entertainer. The clip frames the speaker's argument about personal identity, judgment, and public commentary.
I'm not a political scientist. And a lot of people will say, oh, you're just an entertainer. Shut up. Well, you. Okay, because at the end of the day, I'm a citizen, too. I'm not just a singer. Just like you're not just a person that flips burgers at Bob's Big Boy or some. You know what I'm saying? I'm not judging you.
You know what I'm saying? So my point is that I'm a person, just like you. The judgmental that is tapping on their phones or computers, talking about I should just shut up and sing.
