Chris Collins responds to a hypothetical: stranded alone on a deserted island, what one book would he want. He says he would choose a David Goggins survival/mindset book (mentions having an audiobook but not the exact title) and uses the scenario to emphasize learning to be uncomfortable, preserving sanity, and the importance of faith and like-minded friends for support.
Okay, Sean, you're on a cruise. Oh.
And you're out in the middle of the ocean and the cruise, the boat hits a little bump and it kicks you off and you're in the ocean all by yourself and you end up washing up on shore on this deserted island. What's the one book that you wish you had with you on the deserted island? Oh, man. Probably one of probably David Goggins survival books. Because I love that guy, man. He's like.
I'm like this, I'm in a gym like this. This guy's a monster. David. Love this guy. Oh, man. What book? It'd have to be one of his books. I have one of his audiobooks. I can't remember the exact name of it, but a survival book just. You have to learn how to be uncomfortable. You know what I mean? Learn how to live off the land. I haven't had that situation in my life yet. But I'm not afraid. I mean, you want to know how to survive in the wild. And sometimes when you're out here in this world, it can get wild. And you have to be able to preserve your sanity because sometimes people can drive you crazy. And that's where my faith comes in. And my good friends and people have the same value system and beliefs that you do. That has been a definite go to for me to have that support, to have like minded people only about lifting us up, not pulling you down or not wanting to see you succeed and win.
